This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in the field of finance, internal audit, and SOX compliance.Job Description:As a Finance Intern in our Internal Audit Department, you will be responsible for assisting the team in various audit and finance-related tasks, including SOX compliance activities. This is a hands-on role that will provide you with a strong foundation in finance, accounting, internal audit processes, and SOX compliance.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the planning and execution of internal audit assignments, including risk assessment, audit scoping, and testing. Perform audit procedures, including reviewing and analyzing financial statements, accounting records, and internal controls. Assist in SOX compliance activities, including walkthroughs, testing of key controls, and documentation of control activities. Identify and document control deficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement. Assist in the preparation of audit reports and presentations for management, including SOX compliance status updates. Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to SOX compliance. Support the team in various ad-hoc projects and tasks as required, including SOX-related initiatives. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth flow of information and data related to SOX compliance. Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and company-related information.Qualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed Chartered Accountancy (semi-qualified) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Knowledge of accounting principles, internal audit standards, and SOX requirements is a plus.
