At HP, the future’s yours to create!As our Senior Data Center Storage and Backup Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:Drive new functionality and enhancements to the IT Service CatalogImplement new storage and backup technologiesManage storage and backup capacityEstablish and maintain relationships with IT Operations and Application Development teams for their assigned domainAct as the first point of contact for application support and development teams and guide them through IT request and delivery processes.Work with IT stakeholders to ensure application deployments are optimized for efficiency, performance and reliability.Ensure application teams forecast demand for consumption of storage resourcesUse deep business knowledge and business acumen to drive improvements in Information Technology (IT) engagement for major initiatives.Represent the needs of the business, function, or geography while providing guidance on IT solution architecture during implementation projects.Communicate standard IT solutions to meet the needs of the business, function, geography or organization.Actively participate in selected IT projects to ensure that business, function, and geography “customers” receive sufficient and timely communications.Follow defined processes and implements process changes as needed to meet ongoing IT objectives.Work with multiple businesses, functions, or geographies on solutions.Participate in major enterprise projects and/or solutions that support business process improvements.To be successful in this role, you will need:Typically a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years of related experience or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of experienceStrong written and verbal skills in English and native languageExperience in process improvement, six-sigma certification is desirableAbility to represent IT Storage and Backup solutions as a subject-matter expert (SME)Familiarity with Cloud and traditional on-premise application deploymentsAbility to recommend cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions and help application developers make choices based on performance and complexity requirementExperience with driving enhancements to service catalogs (ServiceNow)Project management experience with technology refresh and capacity additionsExperience with sprint planning and story creation for feature additions and enhancementDeep understanding of HPE Storage and backup technologies and roadmapStrong financial planning experience for budgeting and project roadmapsJob -SoftwareSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -25%Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
