Workstations Category Manager - AsiaDescription -What a Workstations Category Manager does at HP:Build annual plans broken quarterly for Asia markets capturing business objectives, key priorities, growth initiatives and investments required.Build and drive operating cadence to execute the quarterly plans by engaging across key stakeholders – markets, 4P strategy managers, marketing, alliances and global business unit.Operationalize business plans by owning end to end problem solving for markets, covering a broad area of support including product, marketing, alliances, supply, transactional issues among others.Support markets on key deals by advance planning for tenders, product positioning and supporting ongoing deals through product and cost positioning.Provide industry and strategy insights to markets, while capturing competitive insights from markets for global teams feedback through regular cadence, as well as quarterly insights sessions.Support operational cadence of business tracking by representing market progress in key business forums.Support new product requests by developing relevant competitive scenario as well as business cases to justify investments.Drive support for priorities and growth areas ( Key Segments – Small and Medium Business, Corporate Enterprise and Public , Key growth areas – Data Science, OEM) by market, acting as an extension of market teams.Single point of contact on workstations for market category teams.For all above, support country level granularity in alignment with market category teams.Support market led growth projects end to end which may require alignment and execution across multiple functions within the organizationIndividuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess: 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in Sales, Category, Business Development or Product Management is highly desirableStrong analytical thinking, analysis, problem-solving skills, process orientation, and business acumen skills.Proven ability to work with/influence across all levels and functions within the organization to achieve actionable results through others.Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail and quality of deliverables; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities (both long and short term) simultaneously.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills, and group facilitation.High degree of flexibility and the ability to work within a fluid, constantly changing environment.Ability to simplify complex problems and provide choice points backed with sound data analysis.Ability to present complex business problems and build a strong narrative to drive objectives. Strong presentation skills, including building executive level presentations and articulation.Strong problem-solving skills with ability to build solutions where none exist.Strong collaboration skills across multiple teams.
