The Director of EMEA External Communications position is a role and opportunity for the right person to create new programs that bring customer and employee experience stories to life. The successful candidate will serve on the external communications leadership team and create a high-impact public and media relations strategy driving results about the company, its business success, employer brand, and technical innovation. Success in this role requires the ability to establish a vision for external communications and manage it through periods of rapid growth.The ideal candidate has proven success leading an enterprise tech external communications program, providing counsel to executive stakeholders and developing a strategy with a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities:Sets external communications strategy, aligns function with corporate strategy, and creates formal networks within the company to successfully executeDevelop and scale a program to showcase the company’s success that will further establish it as the leader in experience orchestrationFacilitate communications programs around some of the company’s most strategic activities and regional initiatives in EMEA, focusing on UK&I, DACH and France as core markets Counsel and support our EMEA leadership team on sensitive communications issues, such as potential crisis communications or corporate development initiativesManage external EMEA PR agencies and drive successful media strategies to generate company awareness and increase relevance with targeted business and technology pressCraft effective net new messaging and positioning for projects or moments with a clear understanding of the context around messaging, such as competitors, risks, etc.Create frameworks to guide decisions around significant and unique issues where analysis of situations require an evaluation of intangibles and exercises impeccable independent judgment to obtain resultsMinimum Qualifications:12+ years of public relations experienceExperience in B2B technology communicationsExcellent mentorship/leadership skills and with a team player mentality; leads by example embodying accountability and transparency with peers, colleagues, and leadershipImpeccable attention to detail, understanding of enterprise technology and current consumer trends, and ability to communicate complex topics effectivelyAbility to work in a collaborative environment while also working independently and autonomously in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentExceptional written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrable strength in writing clear and impactful external communications, including press releases, media statements, thought leadership, etc.Bilingual or multi-lingual capabilities are preferred About GenesysEvery year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
