We are looking for a talented Manager to join the Knowledge team and help build products and services to bring the benefits of this technology to Genesys customers.As a member of the Knowledge engineering management team, you will be leading a team of Software Engineers building our new generation product, an AI powered conversational solution backed by knowledge services. You will be contributing to the overall architecture and code base of the platform. You will be working on tools and infrastructure challenges, software engineering and in some cases – machine learning. You will be joining a collaborative team of like-minded people, who thrive on technical problem solving and relish design challenges. Working in an agile team environment, our teams are full-stack, with capabilities to deliver full features across Front-End, Back-End, Event and Storage layers. Genesys Software Engineers think through implementation details of scale, security and usability. We write code in Python, JavaScript and Java, and work with many technologies, including DynamoDB, SQS, Kafka, Jenkins, GIT, etc. – all on AWS. What you will do:Lead the design and implementation of key aspects within the Knowledge service componentsDesign and develop high quality, efficient, testable software to implement key product featuresBring features all the way through the Design, Test, Deploy, Maintain cycleUnderstand, and contribute to the evolution of, the overall architecture of the system and the wider ecosystemActively contribute input and direction to the Product roadmapActively participate in team code reviewsAct as a mentor and/or coach to the members of your teamEnhance overall team velocityApply processes appropriately for data security, traceability and information sharingProvide technical and architectural guidance to your engineering teamFacilitate the career development for your team members, help them to grow in their career and expertiseWhat you will bring to the role:Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related disciplines. Excellent programming skills, ideally in Java/JavaScript/Python and related frameworks.Excellent problem-solving skills, with an attention on details.Excellent communication skills.Experience of managing a development team.8+ years of experience in Software Engineering. 2+ years in a management, technical leadership or architecture role.Experience of designing, developing & consuming REST API’s.
