We are a global company with a startup feel.What you will accomplish:We are looking for the leader of our Market and Competitive Intelligence team who has a love for strategy, intelligence, and analytics. Reporting to the SVP of Portfolio Marketing, you will draw on your experience, business acumen, resourcefulness, and technical expertise to arm Genesys with the insights to outmaneuver our competition and capture new market opportunities.Ultimately, your mission is to help us win. You’ll work within and across teams responsible for gathering and analyzing competitive data to distill it into actionable insights, differentiated messaging, as well as strategic recommendations. You’ll use this intelligence to drive winning sales and marketing playbooks, product development planning, and company strategies.Ideally, you are a Competitive Intelligence professional with a reputation for delivering simple and compelling insights with urgency and integrity.  You’ll embody and promote ethical and legal standards, and you’ll uphold the Genesys code of conduct.  You have a love for collaboration, an analytical mindset, and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.Responsibilities:Manage a team of 4 CI analysts to create, refine, and deliver on our competitive research and intelligence strategy to win against our market rivalsStay informed of market trends and activity. Use competitor announcements, news, personal relationships, and financial and industry analyst reports to build a detailed understanding of key competitors’ strategies, activities, and performanceMaintain a deep understanding of competitors’ solutions, identifying strengths and weaknessesProactively make actionable recommendations and predictions for product management, marketing, sales, and the executive teamSupport key corporate initiatives with market and competitive analysesCraft clear, concise messages that differentiate our solutions in the marketAssist the sales, marketing, and product management teams with actionable competitive intelligence, talking points, tactics, and strategies to help win dealsCreate and maintain competitive enablement materials such as battle cards, sales scenario guides, and market analysis documents.  Maintain competitive materials and resources for colleagues in a well-organized repositoryMeasure and optimize the impact of our intelligence. Identify patterns and share insights so we can quickly make data-driven decisionsCollaborate with our partners in marketing, sales, product, business development, partners, and analyst relations to understand our place in the market and communicate our competitive edge.Manage external research vendors as neededDeliver training sessions to our go-to-market teamsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, strategy, communications, marketing or equivalent8+ years of career-relevant experience (market/competitive intelligence, strategy, product marketing, product management a plus)Experience in the contact center, customer experience, customer engagement, CRM, or other enterprise software/SaaS marketExcellent analytical and research skills, including the ability to organize and summarize large amounts of information and draw key conclusions.  Able to synthesize technical material and identify key insights for various audiencesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience creating compelling visual content and narratives to maximize readership and adoption by the sales teamExperience working directly with C-suite executivesCan pivot when things change unexpectedly or because of executive requestsEagerness to excel in a fun, ever-changing work environmentWilling to travel 15%Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPointCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
