We build products to enable companies to connect with their clients via multiple channels (voice, video, social, etc…), and to provide context during these engagements, making these connections meaningful, fast, and memorable.   We do this via a SaaS (Software as a Service) product called Genesys-Cloud, which supports 500k users making over 1 BILLION API (application programming interfaces) calls daily, enabling around 2B minutes of phone calls monthly, and hosting 70B interactions yearly.    We already have a solid range of mobile applications that help our clients to stay informed on the go and have decided that we would like to invest in them more to increase the ease of use, robustness and align them better to the new brand design.  (https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/download-mobile-apps-2/)  Our first focus will be on the Genesys Collaborate application that is essentially a communications platform allowing users to form groups for topics, stay in touch in private conversations and connect integrations to enrich the content shared while connecting to one another.   We are looking for a seasoned Android Software Engineer who would drive the application design and development to the next level.  As a Staff Android Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:  Coordinate major development initiatives across the various development organizations of Genesys Cloud Consult with senior members of the various development organizations to assist and ensure appropriate design directions Be the foundation of the Hungarian Genesys Cloud Application Mobile Development unit Confidently make design decisions to deliver mission-critical mobile features Ensure that the solutions are in alignment with the Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Stay current with industry developments and current trends Deliver with security in mind, ensuring our solutions are adhering PCI (Payment Card Industry) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) and GDPR regulatory standards & requirements. Communicating regularly with colleagues and management to define and coordinate deliverables Wear the hat of a true product engineer and take part in the continuous discovery part of the product delivery alongside the continuous delivery.   You will work in a fast-paced, startup culture, where our environment is one of continuous change, innovation, and experimentation. You will work on enhancing our Genesys Cloud Collaborate application experience and reliability and align the look & feel and user experience via our next generation design framework. A Successful Staff Android Software Engineer will:  Operate in an autonomous fashion executing against the team’s feature pipeline. Work to keep Product Management aligned with technical changes and initiatives in R&D. Work closely and collaboratively with R&D leaders to track mobile usage's impact on platform availability and scalability. Have deep experience in IOS & mobile technologies  Maintain a sharp awareness of recent technologies and assess their usefulness to our applications. Demonstrate high levels of curiosity and keep up to date on emerging trends.  Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in computer science or related work experience with a minimum of 5 years industry experience Proven experience with mobile development in Android using Kotlin and Jetpack Proven experience with REST-style web services and frameworks Solid understanding of release management and versioning of android mobile applications Experience with messaging systems and proven integration patterns Good verbal and written communication skills in English Experience operating, monitoring and debugging mobile applications at scale Experience with CI/CD and the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) Experience with version control and dependency management systems (Git, Bitbucket)  Experience with the following is a plus:  CI/CD pipeline in Jenkins  Artifactory stores such as JFrog & Artifactory  Crash analysis tools like Crashylitics or similar User Journey analytics tools like MixPanel, UXCam Application monitoring tools such as Sentry, NewRelic Strong understanding of the requirements of regulations, PCI, HIPAA, and HITRUST, among others. If a Genesys employee referred you, please use the link they sent you to apply.About Genesys:Every year, Genesys orchestrates billions of remarkable customer experiences for organizations in more than 100 countries.
