Collaborate with qualified electricians and diverse engineering teams to elevate system safety, quality, reliability, and performance.Objectives and Responsibilities:Ensure adherence to applicable safety and regulatory requirements for electrical design and maintenanceEvaluate and improve existing systems to maintain required capacity, capability and cost of ownershipAnalyze failures and develop improvement plans to support >99.9% facility uptimeLead in implementation of data projects such as SPC to improve maintainability, availability and early detection of system issuesIdentify and drive short-term systematic hardware upgrades and improvements leading to safe, stable, and reliable system operationPlan and develop long-term strategies including capital improvement plans in consultation with facility managementProvide design and electrical engineering support on projects including review and approval of all electrical designs that support the facilityEffectively collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors on new construction/renovation projectsCoordinate and oversee work of external consultants providing CAD supportQualifications:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, preferably with PE registration (EIT acceptable)8+ years experience with emphasis on design, operation and maintenance electrical switchgear, distribution equipment, transformers, variable frequency drives, diesel generators, uninterruptable power, and control systems.Knowledge of electrical and life safety requirements as well as latest NEC codesExhibit top-tier diagnostic capabilities, especially in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, aptitude to work cohesively in teams, and lead projects when necessary.Showcase a proactive mindset towards identifying potential equipment challenges and responding to emergent issues.Expertise to communicate tactical concepts across a wide range of employees from engineering peers to operational technicians and management.Must have legal authorization to work in the U.SAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $78,000 - $130,000.This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.Broadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401(K) participation including company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave and vacation time.
