Principal Database Administrator

We are looking for a Senior DBA to join our Cloud production DBA team in Israel. This is an amazing opportunity to work on large scale database both on private and public clouds involving multiple DB technologies. The team consists of 5-6 people and is reporting to the Cloud DBAs Manager. We have a great skill set in relational and NOSQL databases and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in PostgreSQL and additional DB technologies on production environments.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  Education (Bachelor's degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, or related degree and at least 7 years of as a DBA.) At least 3 years’ experience as PostgreSQL DBA on large scale production - mustAt least 1 year experience with MySQL or Oracle - must Familiar with Linux and Shell ScriptAbility to work independently and handle multiple tasks.A team player with good interpersonal skills.It would be great if you also had:Familiar with other databases such as Oracle/MSSQL/MongoDBExperience with SQL tuningFamiliar with AWS and RDSWhat will you be doing in this role? Support hundreds of PostgreSQL / MySQL / Oracle DBsProactively monitor for systems health and performanceSupport the development team, processes design and sql tuning.Develop Procedures/automations/kits to be used by support/ cloud production engineers.Support additional systems based on Oracle/MSSQL/MySQL and other DB technologies.Be part of On-going On-Call  rotationsThe Service you will be providing:Support multiple DB technologies on large scale production systems both on Private cloud (multiple Data centers worldwide) and AWSExplore new technologies and features.Collaborate with development groups, infrastructure engineers, cloud -production team and othersAbout the TeamOur global team consist of 6 experienced DBA’s located in Israel and US, supporting multiple DB technologies.We seek to be proactive, and service oriented to our internal/external customers.Working closely with the development and automation teams to determine best practices and procedures.Supported by Tiers 1 and 2 support, cloud production engineers and NOC.Hours of Work:IST Full time.At Clarivate, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons with respect to hiring, compensation, promotion, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
