We are seeking a Team Lead to join our team in the A&G Content Technology department. This role will focus on supporting the Research and Analytics sub-segment, with a specific emphasis on WoS and InCites content for our customers, as well as delivering content operations. The main responsibility of this role is to lead the Data Excellence initiative, which is our top priority. It would be ideal if you have experience with full-stack development, as well as knowledge of AWS services and relational databases. The team currently consists of over 10 members, including developers, quality assurance, and business analysts.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in software development 10+ years of related experience and/or training Ability to guide developers – Front-end, back-end, and full-stack developers across different tech functions.Designing RESTful API endpoints, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger, HTTP protocolStrong knowledge on AWS services like EC2, ECS, S3, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, SQS, SNS, etcThorough understanding and experience in microservices development, especially for front-end components5+ years of technical experience with emphasis in Java and Spring Framework, Core Java, J2EE5+ years of transact SQL/stored procedure development experience. He/she should know how to optimize big-data queries.3+ years’ experience in a senior role using front-end UI technologies: HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS3Database technologies - SQLStrong knowledge of npm/yarnHands-on experience with full SDLCProven ability to deliver quality software used by a very large number of users.Should have worked in Agile Scrum method of delivery. Metrics focused and obsessed with CI/CD and DevOps.It would be great if you also had . . . Lead a team of developers within the Content Technology group. The content technology group is responsible for building software tools and infrastructure for all content served by Clarivate to ~8000 institutions globallyEngage with other global team members to deliver quality softwareCollaborate with multiple teams, establish and maintain effective software development and Agile practice.Efficient at removing barriers to development empowering the team to rapidly progress.Manage offshore resources as required to deliver projectsDesign, develop, test, and deploy new software solutions, enhancements, and bug fixes.Provide directions for refactoring, code review, and training.Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.Run and monitor performance and quality tests on new and existing software to correct mistakes, isolating areas for improvement and general debugging.Determine, develop, and maintain user manuals, training materials, and documentation.Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects.Lead in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining software.Research emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will improve performance and/or functionality.Confer with end-users, clients, and/or senior management to define business requirements for application development.Model business and application processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.About the Team This role is for A&G Content Technology supporting the Research and Analytics sub-segment.
