Manager, Accounting

We are looking for a Manager, Accounting to join our global Accounting team in Belgrade. This role will support Clarivate's Belgian accounting entities. This is an amazing opportunity to learn more about accounting & audit processes in Belgium. The global team consists of 30+ people and, in this role, you would be reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting. We would love to speak to you if you have extensive accounting experience & expertise, and you’re interested in being a part of the global accounting team. This is an operations management, not people management role. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments5+ experience in accounting3+ years of experience working in ExcelProficient level of English languageBachelor’s degree in accounting or similarIt would be great if you also had . . .Good knowledge of IFRS and US GAAPEnd to end accounting process understandingKnowledge of the Dutch languageProven ability to meet deadlines; proven ability to form strong relationships with customers and shareholdersStrong customer focus work ethicWhat will you be doing in this role?Support the delivery of the monthly close activities for each company under remit & the production of key supporting schedules and balance sheet and P&L; support BlackLine reconciliations and other monthly activitiesMonthly tax compliance and filingMonthly variance analysis and explanationsSupport the statutory audit process; support internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies; support the integration of acquired companiesCoordinate with centralized process teams; support ad hoc projects and tasksAbout the TeamThe wider accounting team consists of 30+ colleagues. We have an effective team of self-driven colleagues who collaborate with various stakeholders. In this role, your focus would be on Belgian entities & providing support to the team regarding various accounting processes.Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, 40 working hours per week (standard Serbian working hours).
