We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer with solid understanding of DevOps to join us in helping Workday to deliver reliable, resilient SaaS products to our customers. This team handles all standards-based eLearning content within Workday, which empowers our customers to gain and share knowledge, communicate, learn new skills, and grow their careers. This position will partner closely with the wider Learning group and teams based in Canada and the U.S.A.About the RoleYou will be part of a team of inquisitive and passionate engineers! You will contribute clean code and collaborate optimally with various partners. We believe that the best user experiences combine engineering excellence, immersive UIs, and secure backend services. The software you write will have an impact on millions of people through our diverse global client base.What will you be doing?Craft and develop software that enables people to use and engage with media contentContribute to capturing technical requirements and architectural decision makingMentor other developers by sharing your expertiseDeliver reliable software through continuous integration, automated testing, and in-depth code reviewsDrive process and tooling improvementsWork on an Agile Scrum team that delivers on shared commitment.About YouBasic Qualifications:4 + years working knowledge of one or more major programming languagesA passion for writing clean, testable, and scalable codeAbility to engage in and demonstrate hands-on DevOps experience in solving critical problems and guiding teams on technical bridgesSolid DevOps orchestration experience on IaC (Terraform / Cloud Formation or similar)Experience with large-scale distributed infrastructure systems; good understanding of Data Centres and provisioning/managing infrastructure resources (Compute/Network/Storage)Cloud platform experience working in AWS/GCP/Azure or similarOther Qualifications:Strong coding skills in Bash or similarExperience working with containerized frameworks such as Docker or KubernetesExperience with RESTful web services is desirableExperience with Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CICD)Monitoring tools - Prometheus, Grafana and SplunkKnowledge of technologies and patterns used within AWS including EC2, Lambda, S3, Aurora RDS AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect & DevOps EngineerOur Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
