If you're passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, and are looking for a dynamic multi-cloud work environment, then Workday is the place for you.About the RoleWorkday's onboarding engineers are responsible for facilitating the smooth onboarding process of Workday teams onto our AWS and GCP platforms. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to assist in the successful implementation of cloud-based projects. Demands will include new cloud environment provisioning requests, account or environments changes and tasks involving account database automation, custodian controls, billing, organisational policies and resource pricing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cloud technologies, they should have outstanding interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.Responsibilities: Onboarding Management: Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new Workday projects onto public cloud platforms, working with the relevant Workday teams to ensure a flawless transition from the sales cycle to implementation.Client Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for internal customers, providing them with mentorship, support and proactive communication throughout the onboarding journey.Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with our colleagues to understand their business needs, goals and technical requirements, translating them into actionable onboarding plans.Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials, user guides and other resources to support clients in using public cloud services efficiently.Issue Resolution: Address any team concerns, issues or problems promptly and effectively, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.Standard Methodologies: Stay up to date with cloud best practices, new features and services, provide mentorship and recommendations to clients to optimize their AWS & GCP usage.Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with teams to deliver overall customer success, analyze issues, identity areas for optimization and cost saving. Assist in problem solving and introduce automation to reduce toil.Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze key onboarding metrics, such as time to deployment, client satisfaction, overall onboarding success, providing regular reports to management.About YouBasic Qualifications3 to 5 years cloud computing experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or relevant work experience).Knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and/or equivalent in GCP. Good understanding of networking concepts and security standard methodologies within cloud environments.3-6 months experience developing in a programming language or shell scripting (Go and/or Python preferred, but other languages or scripting tools are acceptable) Knowledge and some experience of Infrastructure as code (IAC) e.g. Cloud Formation and/or Terraform. Communicate effectively with different stakeholders Other QualificationsGood knowledge of Linux!Good to have: AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, Organizational controls, Services and BillingExperience working in an Agile environment / with Agile development methodologiesExperience developing automation solutionsFamiliar with configuration management and change controlsKnowledge of CI / CD principles and standard methodologiesApplicable Industry Cloud certification(s) preferredOur Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
