With this critical contribution to the company in mind, we partner with other Workday departments such as People & Purpose, Business Technology, and Finance to ensure that we are successful in delivering on this goal. We handle every aspect of workplace operations, space analysis and projects, building facilities and maintenance. We capture employee rapport, keep track of office utilization, recommend expansions and / or new locations and coordinate projects for office build-outs and control operating and capital expenses.About the RoleWorkday is looking for a versatile Project Delivery Manager to join our growing team.  This full-time position is based out of our Pleasanton location.  This position will report to our Senior Director, Real Estate and Workplace. We are looking for someone experienced, flexible, reliable, outgoing, and professional, with a positive work attitude.  The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for key parts of the REW leadership team to establish and preserve excellent working relationships with regional office stakeholders.What makes this an exciting opportunity is that you will join the worldwide industry leader in all things Financial and Human Resources Management solutions, and with that you will have the opportunity to develop and implement industry leading solutions for how employees collaborate, ideate and build their careers in times of constant change.Responsibilities:Manage project inception from the pre-construction processes through financial close-out to maximize the quality of the space constructed for the users and groups while always attempting to implement value-engineering alternatives to lessen the cost of construction for WorkdayResponsible for multiple projects concurrentlyProvide direction to outsourced construction management teams and/or landlord’s contractors when applicableMaintain financial forecast and oversee project cost tracking throughout projectsFollow Workday’s purchasing policies for all projectsPartner with the Workplace and Sustainability team in consulting with internal stakeholders to understand space and furniture needs and assist in space planning, balancing end user needs with cost efficient solutionsWork closely with Workday’s IT and Global Workplace Safety teams to ensure that technology solutions (including audio visual, low voltage cabling, access control system) are captured in designEnsure that Workday’s space and/or building standards are implemented throughout the designCommunicate effectively with REW workmates and senior management and other employees to discuss requirements planned for the designUnderstand and provide furniture specifications to suppliers to create detailed layoutsCommunicate with the IT team, security teams, external engineers, external furniture vendors, end users, property management and general contractor, ensuring that all groups have required informationDevelop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goalsEffectively manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficientlyMaintain knowledge of industry, products, methods, and promotional strategies, as well as trends in workplace designCreate and manage project schedule to ensure deliverables are on trackAbout YouBasic QualificationsBachelor degree or an equivalent combination of construction background and technical degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Construction Management7+ years of people leadership experienceFinancial analysis experience and familiarity with accounting and financial concepts of real estate, capital projects and operations expensesOther QualificationsStrong proficiency with MS Office Suite, including MS Project and VisioAbility to perform Internet based research. You will learn about Workday’s various systems including ProLease, iOffice, ShareFile and othersExcellent interpersonal skills including significant oral, presentation and written communication skills and professional presenceDetailed understanding of industry standards, including workplace practices, corporate management, office technology, and environmental factorsWorkday Pay Transparency Statement - United States The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
