The Performance, Resilience and Scalability Engineering team is looking for the best candidates to help drive performance, resiliency and scalability of Workday’s leading enterprise cloud HCM, Analytics and Financial offerings.About the RoleThe position within the Performance, Resiliency and Scalability group, is ideally suited to diverse candidates from a performance engineering or development background with a deep focus on performance and resiliency engineering. The team has a broad charter that spans from the debugging and recreation of specific customer issues, to using the latest Big Data/Machine Learning techniques in order to extract actionable data and model future capacity and scalability needs. Workday Performance, Resiliency and Scalability Engineers are highly skilled and rigorous engineers who debug, measure, support, and improve our software. They play a critical role in optimizing services across the full technology stack where they distill opaque problems into actionable solutions.About YouBasic qualifications:* BS in Computer Science or 7+ years of equivalent relevant experience* Technical aptitude working with large volumes of data, quickly triage scalability, capacity and performance issues* Experience working on Public Cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS with a proven ability to debug/administer Linux based operating systems* Proven ability to debug/administer Linux based operating systems* Infrastructure and application performance tuning and optimisation* Experience with different web-based technologies such as TCP/HTTP/UDP/Rest/Soap etc* Excellent written and oral communication skills* Collaborative team playerOther qualifications:* Experience with Performance, Load, Stress, and Scalability Testing*Experience with an object orientated programming language* Experience with Gatling, Jmeter, Loadrunner, JProfiler, Jconsole and system profiling tools* Certifications relating to Kubernetes and public cloud providers such as GCP and AWS* Experience with technologies used in modern distributed architectures: Kubernetes, Service Meshes, Circuit Breakers etc.)* Experience with Chaos Engineering and associated system resilience engineering techniques* Experience with Data Science and Big Data technologies, Hadoop, Hive, ElasticSearch* Capacity estimating, data mining, modelling, or planning* SQL and MySQL skills or equivalent experience#LI-GMCOur Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
