We are looking for a dedicated software engineer to join a new multi-functional development team based out of Dublin. We're building out services, applications and user experiences (UX) which guide Workday users through critical moments in work such as onboarding, leave of absences and role transitions. We collaborate closely and we continually look for ways to work better together. We develop software using a mix of modern languages, frameworks and tools combined with Workday’s powerful technology platform. We think about clean code and automated testing all the time.About the RoleWrite and maintain proven, robust, efficient and maintainable front-end technologies using React.A willingness to learn and build object oriented applications and API’s using our Xpresso metadata-driven language and frameworks. Write reliable unit, integration, and system level tests that will run on our CI/CD pipeline. Collaborate with multi-functional teams in product discovery & design and deliver features that drive our consumer grade experience. Build proof of concepts to help steer the development approach for features.Promote industry best practices and continuous improvement across all aspects of SDLC. Mentor and learn from other team members through workshops, pairing, code reviews and code documentation.About YouBasic Qualifications:5+ years building and delivering phenomenal customer experiences using HTML, CSS and Javascript.Comfortable with the concepts of backend programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP or Python.Experience writing unit and integration tests with frameworks such as Cypress, Jest and Cucumber.Comfortable with working alongside Product Managers, UX designers and testers to craft, deliver and empower the outcomes our customers need.Other Qualifications:Experience working directly in React.js, Vue.js or other Javascript UI frameworks.Mentoring and supporting other developers in learning new frameworks or programming concepts.Working in a BDD or TDD environment.You have an interest of crafting platforms that fuels customers successes.Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
