We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job SummaryOur Digital Services and Technology Finance team is looking for a strategic FP&A business partner to our Technology functions who will jointly drive long term profitability and financial health.  This highly matrix-oriented FP&A role sits in our CFO organization.  The Director, Technology Finance will play a critical role in setting vision and drive cadence of our Financial Planning and Analysis activities for our fast-growing innovative functions including Information Technology, Platform Engineering, and Technology Organizations.  The FP&A responsibilities include, but not limited to budgeting & forecasting, supporting monthly financial close, rigorously manage and align our monthly, quarterly, and annual cadence, supporting strategic planning, managing financial KPIs, modeling, aligning to business roadmaps, and presenting to sr executives.  The ideal candidate is a high energy, curious, motivated, organized, responsive and detail-oriented thought-leader who can roll up on their sleeves while also able to step back to drive strategical alignments & outcomes among cross-functional representations.  Additionally, we are expecting this experienced leader to hold strong & inclusive communication style and people management skills who is also able to balance two types of business speeds between nimble digital world and robust core businesses. ResponsibilitiesAct as trusted advisor to C-Suite business leaders and their teamsDevelop business cases for internal and external products and services while achieving targeted return on investmentLead a 6-person team with varying levels of skill sets and experiencesEstablish and manage annual, quarterly and monthly reportingGenerate business insights from data to influence decisionsPartner with the finance organizations to support our financial close cycleVariance analysis including not only understanding “what”, but also “why” and “so what”Present key stakeholders and executive management teams to help facilitate and guide positive outcomesAnticipates needs, makes recommendations based on knowledge of partner industry, and facilitates decision makingDeliver and craft high-quality presentations for senior executives and business partnersLead the team to resolve complex technical, operational and organizational problemsDefine objectives, conduct quarterly conversations and support career development with your team membersConduct ad hoc analysis as appropriateQualifications10+ years in FP&A, specifically with technology and product organizations Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA or CPA preferredExperience in a global organization with operations in each of the major three regionsExperience in high growth, fast paced and dynamic environmentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to influence at the C-Suite levelResults and detail oriented; ability to manage through complexity and ambiguityBuild strong long-term relationships across geographies and cross-functionally Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability. If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.Equinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position may be offered in other locations.
