Senior Analyst (Statutory Reporting)Our Equinix EMEA Corporate Controlling team is looking for a Senior Accountant (Statutory Accounting). The Statutory Reporting team is responsible for US GAAP and statutory reporting, management of external audit, financial controlling activities associated with tax, treasury and legal transactions. The key aspects of the role is managing the statutory accounting and reporting for the legal entities in EMEA, coordination of the statutory accounts preparation process including local statutory audits for all Equinix EMEA legal entities. The role requires high sensitivity to control fundamentals and posture for the organization as well as interpret and implement corporate accounting instructions and control procedures relative to both internal and external requirements. Responsibilities include: Prepare financial statements (including notes) for statutory filing purposes, using various GAAP requirements. Prepare reorganization, M&A, and Legal Entity formation transactions for Local GAAP purposes (in accordance with local GAAP requirements) Responsible for reviewing the US GAAP to Local GAAP bridges provided by GL, Revenue, Leasing, and FA teams Review for accuracy using local GAAP procedures as a guide Provide Accountants with review comments, following-up to ensure corrections are made timely Prepare year-over-year analysis for local GAAP statements, explaining major differences Review annual local GAAP trial balances prior to submission to 3rd party financial statement preparer Manage collection/gathering of reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation from accounting team members for submission to auditors Assist in preparing specific disclosure schedules to support local GAAP financials Liaison between accounting (and other) team (s) and auditors Support local GAAP and Tax audits Manage timing and execution of local GAAP adjustments and audits Ensure timely submission of local GAAP requests Update/maintain local GAAP procedures Track and report out late submissions and other KPI’s Ad hoc analysis as needed Experience: Highly suitable for an individual either leaving practice with experience in combined US GAAP/Local statutory audits and/or the preparation of multi country statutory reporting for a US listed corporation or someone coming from a similar relevant role in industry 5 to 7 years of experience performing accounting operations Solid accounting background and experience with multi country Statutory reporting Ideally solid knowledge of both US GAAP and/or IFRS and any other European local GAAPs Audit or accounting experience in a public accounting firm strongly preferred Experience in large multi-national organization high growth companies and in acquisition integration projects is a plus.
