Focus is on tasks requiring highly skilled and independent judgement, while contributing to the development of new concepts and techniques for standard operating procedures.Responsibilities1. Facility / Infrastructure MaintenanceResponsible to ensure the functioning, upkeep, maintenance and preventive maintenance of electrical utility is maintained per required specifications and regulation under the Energy Commission MalaysiaTo carry out switching operations on all electrical systems high voltage and low voltage depending on competency of ChargemanPerforms preventative and corrective maintenance on-site to critical facility systemsResolves advanced incidents and develops new procedures and techniques to support the overall teamResolves a BMS alarms for complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolveLeads and coordinates critical infrastructure operationsImplements energy efficiency measures and identifies areas of opportunitiesInspects operation and maintenance of fire suppression, and life-safety systemsDevelops project scope with management for life-cycle maintenance/end of life infrastructure projects and critical replacements2. Vendor SupportFacilitates selection of vendors for outsourced maintenance activitiesAdvises vendors on highly skilled tasks to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out per standards and requirementsBuilds scripts for maintenance and submitsTracks and implements the work approval process for critical service providers (including briefing at the start of work, control of work during the day workday/shift, final review of the work carried out)Inspects implementation changes/updates to technical files for plants and equipment (in collaboration with vendor and the supervisor's) ensuring builds are up to date3. Site Administration & Incident SupportCompletion of complex site logs and data gathering for issuing of permits, such as Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOPs) and scriptsIdentifies and calls out process discrepancies to higher managementIdentifies Single Points of Failure (SPOFs)Supports the on-site staff during critical incidentsResponds to all on-site incidents, including major failures, significant problems and delays4. Work Orders & Additional ProjectsCompletes highly skilled work requests and circuit installationsCoordinates more advanced troubleshooting of office equipment (if vital); supports auxiliary equipment and machines with problem solving and repairs to avoid/minimize downtimeMakes moderate changes to mechanical, electrical and specialized systems, as advised5.
