We are seeking an enthusiastic business partner with strong modeling and analytical skills to supplement our Digital Services FP&A team which supports a fast-growing business area. The Digital Services FP&A team is an ideal environment for highly motivated, skilled, and naturally curious individuals to make an impact right away. Equinix’s global footprint also provides ample opportunity for personal and career development within a growing company.The Financial Analyst will play an exciting role as a critical member of our Planning, Analytics, & Reporting team supporting our fast-growing innovative Digital Services organization by directly working for our FP&A leadership team.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting our daily operational cadence, near-term planning & annual budget, resource and cost management, quarterly guidance, KPI management, financial modeling, and developing presentations.  The ideal candidate is a high energy, responsive and detail-oriented business partner who can anticipate questions and has a variety of system knowledge and business acumen.ResponsibilitiesSupports the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting of revenue, expenses, resources, and non-financial metricsAnalyze data to find answers of not only “what”, but also “why” and “so what” to support our key business partners in the Digital Services organizationDetermines the best source for data, ad hoc reports and analysis, and presents a summary of findings to managementAct as a trusted advisor to cross functional business leaders, anticipates needs, makes recommendations based on knowledge of industry, and facilitates decision makingWorks both independently and with the team to create, modify, and update a suite of company metric reports and dashboards to identify trends and key drivers of the businessAbility to create financial models for scenario analysis regarding potential business decisionsDeliver and craft high-quality presentations for senior executives and business partnersAptitude to pool data from multiple sources, filter through the data, analyze the results, and consolidate into a brief report with recommended action itemsOther duties and special projects as assignedQualifications3+ years budgeting, financial analysis, spreadsheet modeling, and database reporting experience.Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferredAbility to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work well independently and in groupsProven problem solving and critical thinking skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailVery strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint – proficient using formulas to automate and streamline modelsWorking knowledge of Hyperion and Oracle BI software packages preferredEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
