We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job SummaryThe Senior Tax Analyst prepares tax returns and work papers with minimal supervision and provides assistance to other team members on various projects.ResponsibilitiesEnsure all U.S. & Canadian Sales/Use, GST/PST , property tax, gross receipt returns are timely and properly filedManage U.S. and Canadian tax audits and other correspondence with the tax authorities with a view toward settling in an efficient and cost effective mannerWork with our internal business partners and external service providers to address indirect tax related matters. Review and advise on business plans and issues as they arise to ensure proper tax positions are takenParticipate in system implementations and user acceptance testing for indirect tax for various system changesAssist the xScale tax team with ad hoc projects as they ariseFunction requires working closely with GL, Legal and Treasury teamsIn view of our global business the responsibilities may extend to Indirect and property taxes outside the US and Canada regionQualifications4 years plus working experience with BIG 4 and/or corporate indirect tax departmentBA in Accounting or Finance. MS in Taxation is desirableWorking knowledge of Vertex or similar softwareDemonstrated technical strength and knowledge related to indirect tax. Property tax expertise is a big plus. Experience in indirect tax and property tax in regions outside the US and Canada is a plusSelf-starter with strong accounting, analytical, creative problem-solving and project management skills.
