The successful applicant will be tasked with coordinating the maintenance and up keeping of all Data center infrastructure according to Equinix global standards.Given the nature of our existing team make-up we are considering candidates with a strong electrical background but ideally with exposure to mechanical and controls work. All engineers are encouraged to work across Engineering functions where possible so applicants with a broad working background who collaborate with customers, vendors and colleagues will suit the role well.Strong interpersonal skills (particularly when speaking with onsite customers), attention to detail, engineering proficiency and a dedication to consistently achieving personal and team Equinix goals will be highly regarded.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides junior team members and colleagues with technical support and adviceCrafting engineering scripts, MOP’s and working with multi-functional teams on approvalsEnsure all Global Engineering and Design team projects, processes, standards and protocols are upheldTechnical reporting on capacity and energy cost or usageVendor and contractor work permit reviewsActs as SME and provides training to team members where neededBreakdown and Repairs ManagementMaintenance Scheduling and Planned Preventative MaintenanceReporting - Reviews specialist contractual reports and activitiesProblem Solving - root cause analysis and in the repair of failed componentsDesign - Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g. single power source)QualificationsTrade Cert or Degree in related Electrical or Engineering fieldsWillingness to work autonomously and unsupervised when required.Ideally some data center or mission critical exposure and experiencePositive demeanor and outlook, enjoys working as a collective.Ability to attain and maintain NV1 security clearance.Benefits of the roleSalary package including annual bonus, annual reviews, and healthcare allowance!
