This is achieved through the establishment of a robust, quantifiable, and demonstrable internal control framework that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and corporate policies across all geographic regions. Additionally, we strive to promote uniform adherence to all Equinix compliance standards on a global scale.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Global Senior Manager in Compliance-Environment Health and Safety (EHS), as an individual contributor. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing EHS compliance programs across our organization's global operations, and, in particular, our EMEA region. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety performance, compliance, and risk management. Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement global EHS policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standardsDirect the overall regional support strategy, leveraging opportunities to enhance EHS compliance program effectiveness and improve risk mitigationLead and mentor a team of EHS professionals across the region, providing guidance and support to enhance compliance and performanceCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and risk reductionMonitor and report on EHS metrics, incidents, and trends to senior leadership and regulatory agenciesStay current with evolving EHS regulations and standards, adapting policies and practices, as necessaryAssist in the development and delivery of EHS training programs to employees at all levelsProvide support with Customer audits, customer presentations and Request-for-Information (RFIs)Serves as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor in EHS, offering recommendations to streamline processes and resolve complex EHS issuesConduct regular audits to identify and address potential EHS risks and non-compliance issuesSupervises the planning, execution, and coordination of the annual EHS audit and assessment program (both internal and external) within the regionsEstablishes and sustains audit criteria and controls, aligning them with industry standards, Equinix policies, and best practicesChampion a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organizationResponsible for EHS vendor managementQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in EHS related subject or EngineeringQualified in safety to national country levelCertified Lead Auditor in ISO14001, ISO45001 or ISO50001Extensive experience in leading EHS compliance and management systems (10 years+) in in critical process industries such as data centre, IT, telecommunication, airlines, or other industrial environmentsProven experience in implementing ISO14001, ISO45001 across multiple sites.
