This leader will have responsibility for the execution of policy, process and compliance governance across the Government business at Equinix. Public Sector is a fast-growing business with substantial upside and greenfield opportunity – through directing and enabling the business’s operational success, this role will directly and positively impact Equinix’s growth and profitability. ResponsibilitiesCompliance Governance and Operational ExcellenceCollaborating with Public Sector leadership to define and maintain an end-to-end compliance governance and business operations roadmap and process model to support continuous improvement through key decisions, policy review, approval, and enforcementCommunicate clear goals and expectations to cross functional teams both internal and external to the Public Sector business, measuring performance and driving accountabilityDrive awareness and adherence to regulatory policies, procedures and contractual commitments, including supplier and customer flow downs throughout the Public Sector contracting lifecycle, through to contract close outFacilitate policy and procedure decisions and change processes, with a focus on  impact and improvements across customer operations, sales, contracts and related cross functional teamsServe as the Public Sector liaison to the Corporate Compliance Office to ensure corporate ethics and compliance obligations are metContribute to planning for operational strategy and budgets as part of the annual planning process in support of investment or divestment decisions to improve business outcomesRegularly assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements and perform periodic audits on company procedures and processesReportingLead a disciplined compliance governance process and cadence with timely, accurate, and thorough reporting across core Public Sector contracting and business operations functionsSupport development of and tracking for required training for Public Sector Sales and supporting teams through completion of all required coursesWork with Equinix internal (BAS) Audit team to support continuous improvement in our policies, procedures and testing of all necessary controlsLeadershipCreate new and better ways for the Public Sector business to be successful, shaping a high-performance culture and mindset, aligning cross functional teams with best practices in governance and operational complianceCreate and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violationsWork to build the bridge from strategy to field execution, ensuring the teams have the direction, information, resources, and support needed to execute compliant business operationsFoster a thriving and inclusive culture where every teammate can say, “I’m safe, I belong, and I matter.”​QualificationsAbility to provide thought leadership in Public Sector government contracting compliance and policy governance to lead and grow organizational capabilities to scale with the revenue and customer growth objectivesBusiness transformation experience including ability to drive process improvement and align leadership vision, stakeholder engagement, and change impact and readinessStrong Project Management and Change Management experience, with audit and/or consulting experience in these domain areas as a significant plusOperational management and strategic planning with financial acumen and ability to connect operational objectives to financial resultsFocus on execution and results – establishing high standards for performance and accountabilityAn analytical mindset with excellent organizational skillsRequiredStrategic thinker with college degree and seven or more years of compliance, business operations and/or related program management experience in companies serving the Public Sector, with a preference in information technologyFamiliarity with FAR, DFARS, CMMC and similar regulations and policy requirements, including flow downs, etc. that are required with Federal and State and Local Government contractingExperience supervising or serving in a team lead capacity with one Program Manager reporting into this leader roleAbility to obtain a security clearance required, with existing clearance a plusAbility to maintain poise under pressure and drive efforts to closure, through strong attention to detail, quality, communication, persuasion, and organizational skillsExperience with cross functional process improvement and change management, including system lifecycle, to support the evolving demands of a fast-growing businessEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
