We are on a journey to influence positive change through innovation and disruption of the status quo, and we seek a new team member to join us as we continue exceeding expectations.About the RoleThe Integrated Risk Engineer is a measurement specialist who will directly contribute to the operationalizing of risk management processes within information security services and delivery, and across all Equinix business lines. This role is tailored for an individual contributor who will work with a group of dedicated risk analysts collectively providing valuable input to the Integrated Risk Program Senior Manager. The individual filling this role is one who exercises a reflective mindset and demonstrates the ability to deliberately think through complex technical and business issues to solve measurement problems. This individual should be prepared to articulate risk issues regularly and clearly among widespread audiences with varying levels of experience and understanding of risk concepts.ResponsibilitiesAs an integral part of the building and adoption of a unified Enterprise Risk Management approach aligning with the three-line model to accelerate risk-based decision making at scaleAs a champion for the promotion of more formal measurement methods that alleviate the effect of uncertainty on organizational decision makingAs a supporter of scalable initiatives that normalize, implement, and operationalize practical quantitative analysis methods for cybersecurity, IT, and globally across all Equinix business unitsAs a marketer and promoter of an RMaaS offering providing services that enable risk to be explicitly managed at an acceptable levelAs a disruptor changing the way that information risk is integrated with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) ProgramAs an analyst incorporating base rate data with case-specific information to estimate risk factors and employing Monte Carlo modelling to accurately forecast riskAs a specialist leveraging advanced techniques (i.e., Log Odds Ratio and Lens) to automate and improve the consistency of subjective inputs from human expertsAs a designer demonstrating effective risk visualization techniques that allow decision makers to evaluate alternatives in well-designed choice environmentsAs a controls expert with a robust knowledge of their effect on risk, providing informed recommendations in support of important providing feedback to be utilized in product developmentAs a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) professional carrying out the processes defined by the Information Risk Management Framework within an automated decision support platformQualifications3 or more years of experience as an individual contributor practically using quantitative modeling techniques to measure risk and inform decision makingAn ability to positively influence attitudes and beliefs about quantitative measurement methodsStrong practical application of critical thinking and analytical skills to complex business problemsA “fail fast” mindset and strong understanding of the impact of opportunity costsA commitment to continuously challenging and updating beliefs when presented with new and relative Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.This position may be offered in other locations.
