This is an opportunity to help define and advance how enterprises around the world observe, orchestrate, and interact with next-generation data center infrastructure.The role requires someone responsible for ensuring stakeholder needs and use cases are deeply understood, translated into functional and technical specifications, and managed through a development life cycle from start to finish. You will serve as an Agile coach and work closely with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, building and managing relationships and product roadmaps. A strong understanding of product development, relationship management skills, and experience developing colocation and IoT products in a high-technology, dynamic environment is crucial to your success.ResponsibilitiesProduct Lifecycle ManagementPlay a leading role in formulating and executing on product strategy, collaborating with key stakeholders, and execute on the committed roadmapInvolve engineers, designers and others to create a shared vision and clear goals for the product, including a well-defined product roadmapLead engineering scrum teams tasked with delivering world-class digital infrastructure experiences and APIsGather, document, design and test the best possible customer experience and incorporate the voice of the customer into the product roadmapWork with Product Managers to define good confidence release deliverables for any given releaseBe comfortable and effective in working in a fast-paced, collaborative, matrixed environment, and work closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholdersServe as the subject matter expert and evangelist for the productMarket, Competitive and Customer AnalysisResearch competitors and verticals; prepare reports related to financial position, competitive position and market potentialBusiness Case DevelopmentCreate and collaborate on the financial business models and conduct compelling business opportunity reviews with the leadership teamUnderstand the business value and verify that the team delivers business valueProduct PerformanceDefine metrics that will be used to inform product success and help drive user experience improvementsIdentify improvements to existing product processes; develop a strong understanding of processes and technologyEvaluate incoming product-related issues from internal and external customers to determine the severity and responseTriage production software issues and follow up with cross-functional teams until fixes are tested and deployedCross Functional CollaborationDesign product training curriculum; lead cross-functional trainings and meetingsWork with the user experience teams and facilitate the development of user interface workflows aligned with functional objectivesComplete ad-hoc assignments that assist in the development of product strategy and roadmapCollaborate with product engineering, network architects, network deployment, and service delivery teams to roll out new offers, releases, and markets.Manage stakeholder expectations within and/or across functionsNew Partner Identification and EngagementIdentify and collaborate with partners to enhance the productPartner with and deeply listen to customers, sales and operations teams, and other stakeholders to identify unmet needs and new use casesValidate ideas with customers before, during, and after developmentBacklog PrioritizationHelp prioritize items to move forward among many candidates based on an analysis of the business opportunity vs. level of effortBring a rigorous and strategic mindset to evaluating and prioritizing competing requirements, including features, bugs, and tech debtCollaborate closely with technology teamsTest Case Definition and UAT CoordinationLead definition of allowable configurations, test cases and execute UATLead triage of issues across UAT cycles and manage defect resolutionUAT Stakeholder ManagementManage stakeholder expectations within and/or across functionsIdentify and proactively include correct stakeholders and communicate effectivelyUtilize effective methods of communication with stakeholders, varying approach accordinglyRequired QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field (or equivalent)7+ years of prior experience as a Technical Product Manager or a Software EngineerExperience with IoT technology and/or hardware/firmware integration preferredAPI development experience and ability to extend the API into the platform and productExcellent verbal and written communication skills; presentation, customer service, business, and negotiation skillsStrategic thinking with a clear understanding of levers that drive modern IoT and SaaS offeringsTrained in Agile development methodology with experience as product owner/backlog ownerExperience with and ability to work with a global team across global time zonesExcellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities and extreme attention to detail, and ability to self audit workAbility to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing prioritiesBe a highly motivated proactive contributor and subject matter expert on the product.
