This position can be based in Position located in the United States or Canada (On-site / remote).Overview:The ideal candidate possesses a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading small to medium projects tied to a larger program / initiative and will understand hardware development dynamics. In this role you will provide critical issue management, anticipate, and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus constraints.Responsibilities and Duties:Program manage globally distributed teams (Asia friendly hours may be required)Communicate program status, actions, risks, dependencies, and status versus milestonesEstablish integrated program plans which include project scope, schedule, and resources (goals, key milestones, dependencies, owners, and deliverables)Lead / Facilitate focused topic and x-functional meetingsEnsure proper resources are assigned to meet schedules. Ensure team member accountability to actionsProactively manage changes to projects scope by identifying potential risks, and exercising sound business judgements to develop solutions, mitigate risks and keep projects on scheduleLead Project update meetings, maintain project schedule, resource utilization and prepare weekly/monthly project status reportsPresent reports defining project progress, problems, and solutionsInfluence outcomes in an engaging and positive mannerEnsure all phase deliverables are properly dispositioned and archivedManage the engagement between the Calix and outside design partners (3rd party ODM and JDMs)Provide Calix management with timely program updates and statusCoordinate with Calix software cadence program managers, product line managers and software development managers impacted by hardware programsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferredExperience working with geographically distributed engineering teams2+ years’ experience in a related fieldExcellent time management, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExtensive experience developing products through 3rd party ODM and JDM partnersAble to manage multiple projects running simultaneouslyAbility to work in a collaborative team environment, influence stakeholders, and develop partnerships outside of the organizationHardware assembly new product introduction experienceUnderstands Hardware / Software integration issuesExperience in stakeholder engagement. Understands manufacturing techniques and issues for complex electronic assemblies.Skilled in the use of program management tools to track scope, schedule, resources, and metricsExcellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to function well in a high-paced, dynamic, and high growth environmentAmbitious, passion to learn and wants to have fun while driving changeNice to Have:Experienced with PDM tools such as Agile or PropelExperience with JIRAPMP certificationLocation:This is a position that can be remote or onsite at one of our office locations in the United States or Canada
