Director Product Management – Calix Cloud Infrastructure

Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers and grow their value.Calix is looking for a technical product management leader for the Calix Cloud team. The focus of this role will be on developing and launching products/technologies within Cloud Infrastructure.As director of product management for Calix cloud platform and infrastructure you will be responsible for leading the product strategy and roadmap for Calix cloud infrastructure including ML infrastructure. This includes defining the vision and direction of the product, conducting market research to understand customer needs and the competitive landscape, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver innovative product solutions. This product management leader should possess a combination of technical skills, business acumen, and leadership abilities, including in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies.Responsibilities and Duties:Chatbots for Self-Service Support leveraging the latest advances in Large Language ModelsNotification Framework: Pub-Sub integration with external partners and customers for notifications and business process transactionsEvent-based workflow system that facilitates the automation of business processes inside Calix cloud applications allowing for real-time processing and decision-making for our usersSelf Service natural language query-based analytics and its proliferation into all Cloud applicationsDefining Performance Requirements and Validation for Data Lake Query EnginesWork closely with engineering, data science, and product teams to deliver a world-class MLOps platform that enables our applications to train, deploy and manage machine learning models at scaleDefine product requirements and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of ML Pipeline infrastructure for Batch Scoring/Real-time Inferencing/Pipeline Performance MetricsGather feedback, understand stakeholders needs to incorporate them into the product roadmap for our ML platform, with a specific focus on ML engines, frameworks, feature stores, and model repositoriesBuilding tools that ease the onboarding and management of our cloud tenants: Scalable IDP/SSO/LDAP/ Federated Login for customers and partners. Defining the tools and capabilities needed for managing hierarchical relationships between Calix Cloud TenantsAccess and Premises Telemetry Data Collection infrastructure including flow data to Wi-Fi performance data from millions of connected devices generating terabytes of data on a weekly basis. Telemetry infrastructure monitoring tools with insights that can be easily integrated by Calix’s customers and partners.Building cloud-to-cloud VPN solutions to enable secure communication between two or more cloud networks, allowing for seamless integration and data transfer.Language translation and Localization Engines critical for Calix’s international expansion.10+ years of product management experience with cross-functional teams to prioritize and execute technical roadmaps.History of strong collaboration with engineering teams to ensure successful delivery on time and within budgetExperience defining and measuring key performance metrics to track product successExperience working with large datasets, and joining data from multiple sources.Experience with public cloud services e.g. AWS, GCP.Experience with Data Lake Integrations, Data Lake Scale / Optimizations/Validations for Query PerformanceTechnical expertise regarding data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.Strong knowledge of and experience in databases (SQL) and programming (Python).Excellent command of SQLKnowledge of statistics and experience using data science packages (Pandas/NumPy/Matplotlib) for analyzing datasets.Strong understanding of MLOps, including tools, processes, and best practicesExperience with delivering AI solutions built on public cloud infrastructure.Experience with Edge AI infrastructure for reduced latency inferencingExperience working with engineering and data science teams to deliver complex productsExpert in building relationships and collaborating in a matrixed environment.BS/MS in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.Preferred Skills:AWS Certifications – Cloud Practitioner/Solutions ArchitectAWS Certified Machine Learning – SpecialtyNVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) Certification
