Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems, and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers, and grow their value.Calix is seeking a Senior Broadband Strategy Manager to join the Calix Commercial Development Organization (Calix Broadband Funding Team). This is a unique opportunity for a passionate leader to join our team at an exciting growth stage.As a critical member of Calix’s broadband funding team, this position will be responsible for executing Calix’s broadband funding consulting efforts by evolving and running programs that educate broadband service providers. The Senior Manager will ensure that our customers meet their capital needs to achieve business success. The Senior Manager will have day-to-day interactions with a variety of internal Calix teams and external customers. Thus, the Senior Manager will be comfortable operating programs that involve internal and external stakeholders to support these results.This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.Responsibilities and Duties:Act as one of Calix’s subject matter experts on broadband funding while executing high-level assessment methodologies and action plans related to the broadband funding process.Researches and analyzes federal, state, and local funding rules to produce how-to-find funding material for service providers, in the following areas: financial, regulatory, general business, needs assessments, and others to be determined by staff.Works collaboratively with Calix regional sales teams to ensure the highest levels of funding knowledge related to local, state, and federal level funding.Supports executive engagements that assist broadband service providers (telecom, broadband, cable and wireless, municipalities, tribal) to find public and private broadband funding to establish and build out services.Aligns with government stakeholders on the rules and activities of current and future funding programs.Assesses broadband service provider needs to make appropriate referrals to consultant engineering and private equity firms.Provides sales tools necessary to internally track funding across the organization.Travel requirements will be 25-35% of the time.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with 8 or more years of experience in fast-paced management, regulatory, or consultant positions within the telecom and consulting industries.Broadband (fiber, copper, cable, wireless) industry experience is required. Strong familiarity with state and federal funding programs including NTIA BEAD, Department of Treasury ARPA as well as FCC and USDA programs is essential.Experience building onboarding or enablement plans and tracking tools for sales in a successful, high-growth environment with demonstrable impact.Use of CRM systems such as SalesForce to create campaigns to drive demand for the funding workshop programs.Experience working with equity firms and other private forms of funding is a plus.Ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.Strategically agile self-starter who can work independently in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with a consistent and provable history of content creation with specific examples.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Cultural fit within the Calix team, team player, comfortable with ambiguity, and results-oriented.Location: Remote-based position located in the United States or Canada.#LI-Remote
