The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.THE ROLEThe Temp Logistics Coordinator will facilitate the shipping and delivery of materials and various functions of warehouse personnel. This position will mainly work in the warehouse managing the loading of trucks, setting up delivery routes, and unloading material. The Logistics Coordinator will also coordinate inventory and maintain communications with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers and others involved with the shipping and delivery of goods. The role requires the ability and willingness to work long hours to complete a physically demanding job. This position is fully in office and not remote. RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain driver travel logs, bill of ladings and fuel records for submission to local vendorsUpdate and coordinate various department and companywide documents and spreadsheetsCreate schedules for drivers and trucks for inbound and outbound shipmentsResearch and provide marketable freight quotes from their network and carrier partnersCoordinate and if necessary, unload trucks on site during showsFacilitate and supervise experience operations shipmentsMaintain budget records of trucking and shipping costsCoordinate miscellaneous logistics requestsSupport implementation of transportation management systemCoordinate and facilitate field audits and daily truck inspectionsCoordinate and ensures the accurate and updated records of inventory of all items and creation of coherent reports of supply levelsDisseminates instructions to driversVerifies that the safe practices and procedures set forth by management are followedExecute other day to day tasks and special projects as neededQUALIFICATIONSExperience in operations, logistics, and/or supply chain experience requiredOSHA and ANSI certifications for forklift operationBasic knowledge of transportation management systemsAbility to safely operate all applicable heavy machinery as designatedFlexibility and willingness to help anywhere and at varied hours or work daysAbility to coordinate with multiple departments, utilize proper radio protocol and interact professionally with all levels of individuals in a courteous mannerWORK ENVIRONMENTMust be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environmentsMay work in drastic temperature climatesMust be willing to frequently work and travel to events during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work eventsApplicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visa.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYInsomniac strongly supports equal employment opportunity for all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, age, marital status, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by state or federal law.HIRING PRACTICESThe preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
