You will ensure that the global mobility programs at eBay support the dynamic needs of our employees around the world and support our ability to attract and retain top talent by proactively identifying and driving initiatives to improve our global mobility programs.In this role, you will work closely with senior business leaders and members of the People team to contribute to the strategic direction of eBay’s global mobility programs and deliver high impact for our employees and business. You will have the opportunity to manage through complex problems and implement solutions that align with our business objectives and talent strategy. Reporting to eBay’s VP, Total Rewards and Global Mobility, you will inspire and lead a team of global mobility and immigration specialists and oversee the work of our external partners.Key Responsibilities:What you will do:Partner with business leaders, people business partners (PBPs) and other cross functional partners to understand the needs of the business from a talent strategy perspective and enable business outcomes while influencing decisions aligned with eBay’s global mobility policies and practicesDrive the Global Mobility strategy and roadmap to ensure our international assignment, immigration, relocation and tax policies and practices are aligned with the business and talent strategy as well as desired employee experienceOversee the design, administration, and communication of mobility programs globally, including vendor strategy and policies and practicesManage and collaborate with our external tax, legal and relocation vendors, ensuring appropriate level of service is provided to eBay and our employeesCoach, mentor, motivate and lead a team of global mobility and immigration specialistsAdvise on global mobility-related activities such as short and long-term assignments, domestic or international relocations at all levels, including executives, as well as tax implicationsProvide thought leadership for global mobility at eBay by staying abreast of industry standard processes and benchmarksConduct regular benchmarking of our programs and practices to evaluate practices and alignment with our strategyEnhance communication and effectiveness of our global mobility programsLead global mobility-related work associated with M&A activityCreate appropriate technology architecture to support global mobility program delivery, including integration with People systems and external partnersPartner with our internal and external legal, tax and Payroll teams to ensure our programs are compliant while monitoring legal and regulatory environment to proactively prepare for changing landscapeRequirements:Who you are:Accomplished global mobility leader with 12+ years of experience, including proven thought partnership, collaboration, and influencing skills to establish/maintain excellent working relationships with senior PBPs and other members of the People team, business leaders, and multiple cross functional partners (Finance/Tax/Payroll/Legal)Expert on issues related to US and International tax, immigration, relocation issues with experience supporting global organizationsHands-on leader who is authentic and able to inspire others to be their best through leadership and coachingStakeholder partner able to effectively consult, negotiate, resolve conflict, and inspire change with a variety of partners at all levelsProactive and creative thinker who can provide strategic thought leadership and prioritization, think analytically, and solve complex issues and challenges in a way that balances the needs of the business and employees while maintaining complianceStrong vendor management skillsThrive in a fast-paced environmentStrong communicator, including ability to effectively communication verbally and in writing to audiences at all levels in the organizationAbility to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysisHigh level of personal integrity and comfortable operating with ambiguity - capable of balancing good governance with high quality client serviceExpertise leading projects with ability to shift between high-level design, consulting, and analytical/operational workExpertise with analytics, Excel, PowerPoint, global People Systems, and leveraging technology to drive efficiencies and scaleBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
