eBay Software Defined Storage team is looking for senior developers with deep storage knowledge and understanding of distributed scalable system, to implement our storage system that can satisfy all kinds of eBay applications' need. If you are seeking opportunity to work on state of art storage that can support 100PB+ production data that serves millions eBay customers everyday, you are welcome to join us.Responsibilities:* Design and develop next generation massive scale object storage for eBay, targeting for warm and cold data;* Innovate with lastest technologies to build storage products that is durable, cost efficient and reliable;* Bring the value of ease access to large scale set of data to our business partner.Minimum Required Qualifications:* Master's or better in Computer Science or closely-related field, or equivalent experience;* Strong communication skills;* Proficient in at least one of following programming language: C, C++(C++11 and/or C++14 preferred), Golang, Rust;* Ability to self-manage, fast learner, team player and highly motivated;* More than 3 years of experience being in teams in developing/testing/deploying production quality storage products;* Knowledge and experience with block-level storage, storage protocols, file systems.Additional Preferred Qualifications:* Experience with large-scale distributed software systems* Strong high-level (architectural) and low-level design skills* In depth knowledge of Linux operating system* Familiar with multi-threaded, event-driven and asynchronous programming models* Stays updated on the latest storage trends and technologies* Deep understanding of testability, transparency and robustness concernsDisclaimer: Please note that by applying to this role, you are agreeing to be considered for multiple positions.
