We advise senior leadership and business unit owners on partner strategy, lead cross-functional teams to drive deal execution, and support the implementation and ongoing management and development of partners.We are seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships who will be responsible for leading the US Strategic Partnerships team - developing US market and partnership strategy, launching and growing partnerships that accelerate growth for eBay while improving operating cost leverage. The Director will evaluate strategic initiatives and be responsible for pursuing partnership opportunities for long-term growth, capability development and revenue generation partnerships for all the US business units (Motors, P&A, Collectibles, Luxury, Electronics etc.). As a seasoned leader, you will translate business needs into strategic partnerships, investment opportunities and/or acquisitions. The ideal candidate should be able to thoughtfully navigate strategy, relationship management, and business building and is expected to be highly independent and daring. Additionally, the candidate will be encouraged to use industry knowledge and personal networks to identify unmet needs and emerging trends, actively pursuing opportunities.The candidate will manage a team of partnership deal leads and will adopt a player-coach role to structure and own the end-to-end deal execution process for key strategic partnerships across the Americas region. Facilitating the investment and acquisition process in coordination with appropriate internal partners such as Corporate Development, Inorganic strategy, and Corporate Strategy.Industry trends: Monitoring and evaluating industry trends and customer drivers and aligning regularly with management and partners to discuss strategy.Partner Landscape Development: Identifying trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term partnership pipeline in accordance with strategy.Industry Presence: Influencing industry rules and networking with key external partners at the network and association level.Team Management: Manage a team of partnership deal leads to drive deal strategy and execution.Project Management & Exec Alignment: Work with both internal and external product, operations and marketing teams to drive successful partnership outcomes.
