If so, we’d love to talk to you.About the Team and Role:The Corporate FP&A organization is seeking an experienced professional to provide financial and strategic insights and lead: eBay compensation plan forecast/budget, capital allocation scenario planning, free cash flow planning. This highly visible role reports to the Vice President, Corporate FP&A.Job DescriptionThis role will be on the eBay Corporate FP&A team supporting FP&A efforts across the entire company. This team serves as the principal interface between Corporate (CEO/CFO/IR) & the global finance team. The successful candidate will move beyond the numbers and work with key stakeholders to understand the market, business dynamics, and key messages. The role requires a candidate that can learn quickly, think & communicate clearly and provide positive influence throughout the organization. This is a leadership role on the team, will have four direct reports and will be tasked with support and development of this team.Doing FP&A for the corporate team is uniquely interesting and challenging, and we are looking for stellar finance leaders who possess strong critical thinking, domain expertise, phenomenal communication skills, exemplary leadership, and execution horsepower.Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:Lead the monthly forecasting (M) process, handling all collaborators relationships, preparing all materials for management reviews and highlighting key trends as well as risks & opportunitiesBe responsible for the Quarter End daily flash forecasting process to review financial forecasts against quarter end expectations, provide insightful analysis and prepare management review materials to drive decisionsPrepare all quarterly financial information and analysis to support the Quarter End Earnings release process, partnering with the Investor Relations team to consolidate financial analysis & reporting, provide detailed business performance insight and preparation of Executive scriptDesign and build presentations for Executive and Board level audiencesDevelop a strong working relationship with all the various teams spanning multiple business divisions/geographies and keep up to date with daily/weekly/monthly business reviews in order to be in sync with current business and industry trendsLead, support and develop one direct report (analyst level)A successful candidate will possess sound strategic perspective, business judgment, financial documents understanding, financial story-telling capabilities, and a collaborative working style. The ability to lead partners through clear communication and cross-functional relationships is very important. Additional success factors include demonstrating strong intellectual curiosity, a passion for achieving practical business impact, exceptional interpersonal skills, and integrity.Job RequirementsFor this position will have 10+ years of progressive financial planning & analysis and management experience. Extensive experience at a large growth company a plus. Exposure to consumer internet or e-commerce business models is preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. Master’s degree is a bonus.Strong analytical skills with confirmed proficiency in financial modelling and experience manipulating large data sets from various sources, interpreting data trends, and extracting business insights.Demonstrated experience in applying knowledge of accounting and forecasting concepts in developing financial projections with full sets of financial documents.The ability to listen actively and ask relevant, incisive questions as well as confident, independent thinking that communicates an analytic point-of-view to finance and business partners.Polished communications skills including an ability to understand sophisticated matters and analyses, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations especially at exec level.Experience influencing, training, mentoring and demonstrating one’s skills and others to achieve objectives in a cross-functional and matrix organizational environment.Proven working experience with reporting tools like SAP BW, BPC.Customer focused mindset with the energy and desire to optimally collaborate and influence across a global organization; including working with all levels and with remote team members.Appreciation of eBay’s cultural values and behaviors as well as familiarity with eBay through experience buying and selling on the platform.Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
