You will be part of Cost of Payments, Monetization Strategy and Analytics team that drives critical initiatives and business analytics for the payments organization. This is a critical role that will work closely with a host of internal stakeholders as well as external partners in ensuring that we accurately track, report and manage costs across the entire payments ecosystem.Job DescriptionDriving end to end ownership for payments data, specifically around cost of payments, covering credit and debit cards, payment wallets, bank payments and alt-paysLead reconciliation of payments data across external partners as well as internal reporting.Create and standardize rules for data consumption from third party sources and payments partners in collaboration with data science, finance and central analytics teamsCreate and maintain a data governance oversight body with internal stakeholders that ensures data integrity and quality for cost of payments. Review invoices from payment partners to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies and overcharges. Collaborate with finance and partnerships team to recover erroneous feesThe role will lead the management and execution of several strategic data governance initiatives to ensure organizational alignmentEstablish internal controls, alerting mechanisms and procedures for accurate reporting of cost of payments and related payment fields.Leverage experience in payments/financial services industry to design and implement best-in-class practices for payments/cost of payments data reporting and managementCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in defining and maintaining consistent ‘Column/Field’ definitions where the external data is consumed into our DW tables.Be the main point of contact to assess impact on cost of payments data resulting from bi-annual card network mandate changes in April and October. Assess impact of such changes and work with the product platform, data science and analytics team to implement them.Partner with Data science and central analytics teams to implement ongoing changes needed to maintain source of truth for cost of paymentsRole requirements6-8 years of overall experience and at least 3-4 years of experience in the payment/financial services industryProficient in data gathering/analysis/presentation.Has worked with and has knowledge of network interchange fee programs, different aspects of cost of payments including payment processor reportingPrior experience in working on payments data governance initiatives would be a plusMust possess a high level of responsibility and accountabilitySelf-starter with the ability to work independentlyProficient in SQLBachelors or Masters in an analytical field/statistics/Computer Science/Operations or related experience would be highly desirable.Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
