You be a critical member of a world-class international tax team, responsible for eBay direct tax positions in APAC.You will collaborate with other members of the tax team and other relevant functions within eBay (business, legal, treasury and accounting) and external advisors.What You’ll DoResponsible for direct tax accounting/ compliance matters of eBay in APAC region, with assistance of tax compliance service providersSupport communications with the tax authorities in the region, including tax controversiesDevelop a broad network with parties across eBay’s business within the region to represent the tax team in cross-functional collaborationsBecome a trusted partner and advisor to eBay’s business, finance and other internal counterpartsStay up to date on international tax law developments relevant for eBay in APAC, timely flag and assess potential impacts to eBayDocument positions taken, present findings orally and in writing to various stakeholdersSupport the tax accounting provision process for international operations under ASC 740 on a quarterly and annual basisSupport the international and U.S. compliance reporting process related to non-U.S. entities including reviewing of tax & statutory filingsSupport tax planning initiatives (including transfer pricing) and M&A that implicates the APAC regionWhat You’ll NeedBachelor's degree in either Accounting, Finance or (Tax) LawMasters in Taxation/ LLM in Tax are preferred5-8 years of relevant international tax experience, working in either Big 4, prominent law firms or large multinationalsAttentiveness and ability to react to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a sense of urgencyAbility to exercise judgment in highly sophisticated tasks with good interpersonal, people and collaboration skills and a desire to improve practices and processes to produce effective resultsPhenomenal teammate and excellent communicatorPositive attitude, a real culture builder and morale boosterSense of responsibility and ownership of the projects you are handlingAbility to explain tax issues in layperson termsExperience in dealing with international tax audits and transfer pricing matters is a plusExperience with US tax / US GAAP tax accounting is a plusContinuous improvement attitudeCuriosity strongly encouragedApplications close on 7 November so candidates are strongly encouraged to apply prior to then.Benefits:Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
