The Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams develop integration strategy, pressure test synergy assumptions, lead diligence, layout detailed workplans, and oversee execution in order to accelerate synergy realization and facilitate smooth onboarding experience. This individual will be a strategic and operational leader who understands a two-sided marketplace, operates with strong accountability, comfort working within an ambiguous environment, collaborates well with cross-functional partners, is deeply data and customer driven, and brings structure into complex projects.Responsibilities: Seeking a credible leader with a blend of commercial, management consulting, and deep analytics experience that is organized, interested in supporting the operational execution of new deals, and enjoys partnering with senior collaborators of both the eBay and target companies organizations to build collaborative businesses together.Overarching responsibilities include leading the integration planning and execution process across various deal archetypes for vertical marketplace teams (Ex. Fashion, Collectibles, Parts & Automotive) as well as the tech, product, and payments organizations.Integration Planning, Execution, & Process ImprovementCollaborate with executives, legal, finance, and other relevant partners to define acquisition goals/strategic rationale and integration priorities/approachCreate detailed and repeatable integration discovery plan, scorecards, work plans, timelines, and achievements, ensuring flawless execution of the integration process.Provide project management support (including templates, scorecards, etc.) for commercial and functional integrationsMonitor progress, provide regular updates to senior leadership and partners, and address any roadblocks or challenges during the implementation processWork with HR and change management teams to ensure that the organizational culture and processes support the realization of alignments. Work to lead and foster a collaborative and inclusive environment between the acquiring and acquired teams.Participate in continuous improvement of eBay’s integration processes and standard methodologiesDue Diligence:Co-lead the due diligence process in partnership with Strategy, CorpDev, and Acquiring Business Unit, focused on the commercial aspects of capability acquisitions, working closely with product, marketing, analytics and tech teams.Coordinate a set of targeted diligence questions to assess the target company's commercial strengths, market positioning, customer base, and revenue drivers.Oversee the collection and analysis of data and information related to the target company's commercial operations, identifying potential risks and opportunities.Establish working playbook and knowledge based for standard processes to lead due diligence and establish a master list of questions.Alignment Identification, Scoping, and Implementation:Scope and prioritize alignments based on strategic importance, feasibility of implementation, and quantify the potential impactDevelop a detailed plan outlining the resources, actions, and timelines required to realize the alignmentsCollaborate with collaborators to refine financial model, align model to execution plans, and handle model post-Deal SignLead cross-functional teams responsible for implementing integration initiatives related to the alignments.Co-pilot integration alongside BU deal integration lead, co-leading IMO and serving as integration veteranBecome “true advisor” on commercial integration across entire organization, helping the BU/Deal Lead navigate other M&A resources / activities across the organizationEnable dashboards and reporting for alignment trackingCommunications:Support development of comprehensive communications plan for all partners, including internal eBay planning, internal target company planning, and partner with the coms/IR teams on external messaging.Coordinate communication efforts to convey the strategic rationale for the acquisition, integration progress, and achievements achieved.Use various communication channels to keep employees informed and engaged during the integration journey.QualificationsPassion for M&A, Financial Investments, and operating an ecommerce businessesExcitement to engage with customers directly, and a strong desire to help eBay win!Track record of success defining clear strategies, implementing operating plans, and leading teamsHighly analytical with the ability to build out annual forecast and detailed planning modelsA Strong cross-functional partner with experience leading large teams through influenceExecutive level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to tell a compelling story backed by dataHigh degree of ownership, strong project management skills, and commitment to resultsData-driven approach to planning and decision making.
