Our responsibilities include all aspects of eBay businesses across Asia, including China, Australia, Singapore, India, Malaysia, and Thailand.Job DescriptionManager, People Exp Consult is responsible for maintaining functional and subject matter expertise within the area of Employee Relations. Manager, People Exp Consult works closely with People Business Partners and Development Partners, Legal and other COEs such as Reporting, Comp & Benefits, and TA to provide counselling, coaching, mentorship, and guidance as they support managers and employees on a broad range of HR issues. She/he may also be responsible for external Vendor Management. She/he is a key contributor in streamlining and standardizing People policies and practices to enable the organization to be more effective in managing human capital.ResponsibilitiesProvides guidance and coaching to managers and employees regarding the interpretation of policies and programs, employment legislation, compliance, operational effectiveness, and improvement for eBay Australia and New Zealand, and serves as a backup for other ASEAN countries.Provides specialist expertise and jurisdictionally appropriate legal advice and interpretation on employment legislation for critical and/or complex cases.Conducts investigations for raised employee relations complaints, grievances, and ethics notices (e.g., discrimination, harassment, retaliation)Builds and maintains strong relationships with key partners at all levels of the business and collaborates with PBPs, Legal, COEs and external vendors.Manages concerns related to external dependencies, bodies, and vendors (e.g., record management and government bodies)Responsible for the design and/or delivery of training to business leaders and employees across the organizationInitiates and/or leads APAC programs and initiatives related to policy development and implementation and operational improvements.Prerequisite Knowledge & Proficiencies:Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, interpretation and implementation, and employment practices for Australia. Knowledge for Singapore, India, Thailand, New Zealand and Malaysia would be a plus.Broad general HR knowledge which s/he can demonstrate to independently mitigate business, reputational and financial riskSkilled and passionate about coaching and developing manager capabilitiesSkilled at using effective listening, probing and investigatory skills to handle complex, sensitive inquiries and conversations with discretion, composure and compassionStrong analytical approach, able troubleshooter adept at analyzing large amounts of detailed information, diagnosing problems, and recommending appropriate solutions to senior business leadersDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, global organization and to build strong trust-based relationships with remote client groups and colleaguesAbility to deliver high levels of performance and service excellence while managing high volume workload in a team environmentExperience in preparation and delivery of presentations/training to managers.Experience of involuntary employee terminations and restructuringRequirements7+ years proven experience in Human Resources in a global organization5+ years ER experience; specialist jurisdictional or functional expertise preferredExperience working with remote teams preferredBachelor’s degree or equivalentCertification in Human Resource Management is a plusBenefits:Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
