Help us redefine query understanding at eBay.We are looking for you to join our team as our newWorking Student (f/m/d) Human Language Technology- starting date December 2023 - hybrid work model - Aachen or Berlin - part timeYour responsibilities:As a working student at eBay, you will approach some of the most interesting AI problems eBay is facing in the area of machine learning and text understanding. You will collaborate with a team of researchers and software engineers demonstrating the state-of-the-art technologies to tackle the most complex problems. You will drive the query understanding technical vision by incorporating and developing software engineering processes and standards to enhance eBay’s buying experience. ​Create robust data pipelines and real-time monitoring and optimization algorithms with us.Your requirements:Pursuing a Master of Science degree in computer science or related fields with a preferred specialisation in machine learning or NLPExperience with designing and training machine learning modelsProven ability to work independently and make good decisions with minimal directionStrong communication skills (fluent English, both verbal and written)Experience working with complex and large text and web dataExperiences working with deep learning tools, like PyTorch or TensorFlowProgramming skills (Python, C++/Java, Perl, bash command-line tools)What do we offer?A comfortable working environment in a small, well-equipped office in the center of AachenDynamic team, passion for languages and technology, professionalism and a good sense of humorAn international and fast-paced working environment with flat hierarchies and lots of flexibilityAn attractive remunerationeBay Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
