Overview, team, and Scope:We are a leading AI-driven Global Supply Chain Solutions Software Product Company and one of Glassdoor’s “Best Places To Work”.The Luminate Commerce Platform team’s mission is to create an end-to-end to end microservices based order management system which that enables functions at various stages within luminate commerce platform to enable order fulfillment and commerce customer experience.This team builds software that leverage, messaging frameworks and innovative open source to build the platform. We build microservices that breakdown the work into the smallest domain components to enable extreme flexibility.Presently our team consists of 80+ global team members in software development, QA, and Agile process owners; the team is further divided into 15+ members of 4 major existing microservices.What you’ll do:Actively provides feedback during code reviews.Onboards new members to the team and helps develop junior engineers.Understands functional and technical requirements of software components.Participates in team hiring activities.Feeds larger refactoring opportunities into the team's backlog.Evolves the team’s continuous integration pipeline and fixes broken builds.Performs benchmark analyses, identifies hot spots, and derives appropriate measures to improve performance.Demonstrates problem solving and innovation ability.Acts according to company and team visions and requires user stories to adhere to those visions.Has a deep understanding of their team’s problem domain.Clearly understands and communicates the impact of changes in the team’s deliverables on other teams and customers.Timely and proactively communicates impediments to commitments and helps others to overcome theirs.Develops quality software (including effective test code) according to clean code principles and Blue Yonder standards.Provides input for the prioritization of issues in the backlog and autonomously pulls issues or supports other team members as appropriate.Participates in team activities such as backlog grooming, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Translates business requirements to user stories and actively seeks feedback by the stakeholders.Takes the lead in designs of individual stories and translates the design to subtasks.Considers aspects of information security while coding and reviewing other's code.Keeps up to date with technology and research latest trends in the industry.Is perceived as the expert in a small area and is the go-to person for related implementational and operational issues.What we are looking for:Have good knowledge of the Java programming language, OOP fundamentals and design using proven design patterns.Have good exposure to software programming through external projects and internships.Have knowledge of Spring technologies - Dependency Injection, AoP, MVC, SpringBoot, WebFluxFamiliarity with Elasticsearch (nice to have)Familiarity with React JS (nice to have)Our ValuesIf you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
