We are looking for an experienced Release Manager - Director to develop and lead cross-functional releases to support the strategic direction of the organization – with a special emphasis on predictability and quality. This includes how Blue Yonder, Inc. optimizes timelines, deliverable deadlines and accountability, as well as risk management and tools and infrastructure required for smooth, predictable, high quality releases. The Release Management Director will ensure cross-functional program goals are met in respect to budget, planning, quality, performance and customer satisfaction.The Release Management Director will also be involved in overseeing continual process improvement activities to improve Blue Yonder’s internal release management operations.  These types of activities will cover a wide range of business domains and require flexibility and strong learning capabilities.Success will be dependent upon developing, implementing, and managing processes, procedures, policies and tools to ensure prelease goals are achieved; working with Product PMO, Development, Product Management, and field teams.               Primary Responsibilities:Coordinate cross-functional teams composed of members from wide-ranging functional areas listed abovePlan and execute programs to bring releases to market in a predictable and high quality fashionIdentify and support systemic improvements to release execution through new tools, processes, policies, procedures, standardization of release lifecycle, and best practices capture/sharing to support the organization’s strategic goalsWork closely with senior management on release strategy, organization initiatives, release reviews and quality managementPerform end-to-end release management starting from product teams release plans through software available for customer consumptionManage cadence of release metrics review, actions and follow upPrepare weekly release status reports and communicate with senior managementWork across geographical teams to ensure timeline, quality and budget are kept in line with the release expectationsInnovatively identify and resolve business problems by working from the ground up and engaging senior executivesWork with customers, field teams and release managers across partners to ensure consistent overall release delivery for Supply Chain SolutionsRequired Experiences:Min of 10+ years release management experienceBachelor’s degree in business or engineering related field of study Proven experience in managing a portfolio of SW releases in a Leadership roleExperience in interacting with VPs and higher Executives for planning, budgeting, and strategic discussions.Experience in playing a CATALYST role in change managementThorough understanding of release management techniques and methodsThorough understanding of continuous improvement principle and techniquesDemonstrated experience coordinating cross functional teams to deliver comprehensive releases to marketCollaborative, but confident leader who can ensure support from a diverse set of internal contributors to the overall mission of building a robust, external developer communityTechnical expertise sufficient to enable thoughtful solutions to problems in the developer community contextStrong interpersonal, team and relationship building skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly presentation experience to senior levels of managementAbility to explain the business and technical value of a solution offering to an audience mix of technical and non-technical customer or partner representativesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to organize and prioritize work, work independently and within ambiguity, produce deliverables, establish realistic goals and deadlines and manage changing prioritiesPreferred Experiences:Understanding of Blue Yonder’s or competitive supply chain solutionsExcellent knowledge in using various tools like Jira, Confluence, Aha! Experience with machine learning and AI systemsMaster’s degree in business or engineering related field of study-------------------------------------------§The salary range for this position is: USD $ 115,600.00 – $ 167,650.00  The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.  Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.  In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.At Blue Yonder, we care about the wellbeing of our employees and those most important to them.
