Scope:Core responsibilities include collaborating with customers on functional requirements desired, developing new technical solutions or altering existing product functionality to meet the customer’s value needs, testing to validate that new and existing functional use cases work as desired, and documenting the solution throughout the development life cycle.Development methodologies may differ based on the scope of the projects; however, all rely on collaborative communication. This includes interaction with internal team members for the reviews of development designs, creation of development timeline plans, and reporting of development status as well as discussions with the customer directly for clarifications of needs, value expected, or obtaining feedback via development demonstrations.This position will be focused on working with our teams involved in development for the Blue Yonder product suites Like Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, retail - Category Management Solutions.Technical Skill Set We are looking At:Software: Java, SQL, JavaScript, Python, GIT, Rest API, Microservices, OAuth, NodeJS, ReactJS, NodeJS Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architectureCloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, HD insight, Application gateway, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD), Microservices, Snowflake, Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Springboot, Gradle GIT, Ignite, JSON/ XML file formatsGood To Have or Desirable: Blue Yonder WMS, Blue Yonder TMS, Blue Yonder Retail Management Products - Category Management, Enterprise Store Operations Working Experience and KnowledgeWhat you’ll do:Understands business objectives and analyses the requirements of customers.Provides estimates to develop solutions to above requirements.Participate in design and design review processes to ensure that solutions effectively meet business objectives.Codes and Unit tests the solution.Prepares releases, rollouts or patches, manages release schedule / release plan and creates and distributes release notes.Provide technical input or HLEs to support pre-sales proposals, assist sales team in responses to RFP questions or participate in pre-sales meetingsParticipate in reviews with customers or project teams to discuss requirements / specifications and proposed solutionsEnsures all deliverables undergo peer reviews of documents and code. Follows up to ensure that engineers act on feedback.Generate risk assessments, quotes and high-level functional approaches for new software changes.Investigate and triage issues to determine if a code solution is required, providing defect fixes to qualified issues, including unit testing, as required. Defects reported by customers should be responded to in accordance with published SLAs.Provide on-site go-live, dry-run, testing or other supportCo-ordinates and executes demos to clientsWhat we are looking for: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant discipline (MCA, MSc in Computer Science etc.) and minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Software development; ideally a candidate that has started as a Software Engineer.Strong programming experience and background in Enterprise JavaJava (highly capable)SQL (highly capable)Strong knowledge of software best practices, build processes, IDEs, database tools (e.g. SQL Developer, SQL Management Studio)Strong knowledge of source code control systems (GIT)Confident with Windows, Linux, Unix operating systems including command lineWorking knowledge of JIRAExperience of Agile development methodsExperience of full software development lifecycleOur ValuesIf you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
