Blue Yonder Title:Enterprise Data Architect IntOverview Blue Yonder is looking for an Enterprise Data Architect as part of the newly formed Enterprise Architecture function within Information Technology. Reporting to the VP of IT Strategy & Planning, we are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to design, implement, and manage our IT organization's data architecture strategy. They will be responsible for designing and managing the overall data architecture of the IT organization, including the data models, data flows, and data systems. They work with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and create a roadmap for how data will be managed and used to support the organization's goals. They also ensure that the data architecture aligns with the organization's overall business strategy and IT infrastructure.Scope:In addition to the technical skills and knowledge required for the role, the ideal candidate for an enterprise data architect should possess strong communication and collaboration skills. They should be able to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams, translating technical requirements into business outcomes. They should be able to lead and mentor a team of data architects and data engineers, inspiring and motivating them to deliver high-quality work. They should also possess strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Finally, they should be continuous learners, with a mindset to continuously improve their skills and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture.What you'll do:Develops and maintains the overall data architecture strategy for the organization.Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements.Identifies and prioritizes opportunities to improve data quality, availability, and usability.Develops and manages the data governance policies and procedures.Ensures that the data architecture aligns with the organization's overall business strategy and IT infrastructure.Develops and maintains the data models and data flows for the organization.Establishes and maintains data standards, including data definitions, naming conventions, and data classification.Collaborates with other IT teams to ensure that data is integrated seamlessly across different systems and platforms.Develops and manages the metadata repository for the organization.Develops and maintains the data security and privacy policies and procedures.Contributes to the management of the data architecture budget and resources.Monitors and evaluates the performance of the data architecture and makes adjustments as necessary.Develops and maintains the disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the organization's data.Mentors [and leads as necessary] the team of data architects and data engineers.Stays up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data architecture and applies them to the organization's data strategy.What we are looking for:At least 8-12 years of experience in a related field, such as data architecture, data engineering, or database administration. Data, governance, accessible, Strong understanding of data architecture principles and practices.Expertise in designing and implementing complex data solutions across multiple systems and platforms.In-depth knowledge of data modeling techniques, including relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data modeling.Strong experience with data integration , data warehousing, and data management technologies and tools.(data, Experience with data governance, including data quality, data security, and data privacy.Knowledge of data analytics and visualization technologies and techniques.Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.Experience with cloud-based data solutions and technologies.Knowledge of big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.Experience with metadata management tools and techniques.Experience with data architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman Framework.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.Leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of data architects and data engineers.Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Continuous learning mindset and ability to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture.#LI-Remote-------------------------------------------#LI-RemoteThe salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.
