Status: Exempt (salaried)Department: Plant Concept DevelopmentPlug will become one of the major players in the European Green Hydrogen market, including as owner and operator of green hydrogen production plants. Its flagship Chymia project in the Port of Antwerp will feature up to 35 tons per day of green hydrogen production including Europe’s first green hydrogen liquefier. In addition, Plug has unveiled plans to develop several projects in Finland with a total installed electrolyzer capacity of 2.2 GigaWatt, producing green hydrogen, green ammonia and green DRI (Direct Reduction Iron). These plants will deploy Plug’s own electrolyzer and hydrogen liquefaction technologies as well as partner technologies. Position Summary To enable the development of its green hydrogen generation plants in Europe, Plug has established a Concept Development Team. This team is responsible for the early design stages of Plug Owned and Operated large and very large green hydrogen generation plants (typically over 100MW installed electrolysis capacity / 45 tons of green hydrogen production per day). Indicative project installed costs range from 50MEUR to several billion EUR. Plug’s European engineering team is headquartered in Alphen aan den Rijn (The Netherlands). The Concept Development team works closely with the Business Development team, located in Paris, to develop a project architecture including phasing, timeline and execution model and develops the plant design from a high level overall plant concept to more solid basic design. In this the Concept Development team collaborates with external project partners, contractors and consultants.
