Control Panel TechnicianStatus: Non-Exempt (Hourly)Position SummaryThe Panel Builder will install and wire electrical hardware in control panels used to control different processes related to storage and distribution of flammable cryogenic fluids. The ideal candidate should be able to exercise independent judgment while also approaching problem-solving with a hands-on method. This individual must be able to effectively communicate with the cross-functional engineering teams to ensure proper communication.  The Panel Builder should be creative, self-motivated, able to handle multiple project assignments within a fast-paced engineering organization.Core Duties and Responsibilities:Utilize electrical wiring diagrams for installation and wiring of PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, terminal blocks, busbars, wire duct, din rail, AC units, heaters, ethernet cables, etc Understand functionality of electrical components mentioned aboveAlways follow safety protocols and propose improvements to procedures, as necessaryDevelop and write reports based on quality control requirementsCommunicate with engineering staff to resolve design details and problemsAlways represent Plug Power in a professional manner and in all interactions.Perform all other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:Associates degree in a technical field or military certification or 2 years of experience in a related field.Related work history preferably within a technology product manufacturing environment.Experience in wiring DC & AC circuits.Ability to read wiring diagrams.Ability to debug and troubleshoot electric circuits systems.Computer skills (driver installs, basic computer problem troubleshooting).Experience with PLC and VFD hardware (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc).Ability to review technical documentation and find substitute parts as necessary.Ability to operate under own initiative, to improve projects without implicit instructions when situation(s) encountered.Experience with a structured Engineering Change Process and related procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving.Computer and software systems skills including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to exercise independent judgement.Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels.Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.Excellent follow-through.Must be driven and self-motivated.Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality.Experience with electronic boards and components.Pay Rate:$30.53 - $44.30We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
