Senior Systems AdministratorUnder the guidance of the Plug Power Infrastructure Team, this position will be responsible to work and maintain Infrastructure Operations tickets and act as liaison between EUS and Service Desk insuring prompt resolution, disposition, communications and follow-up on the tickets for the infrastructure team.  This role will be responsible for documenting, training and scripting resolutions to accelerate resolution by Tier 1 support reducing MTTR for systems and End User issues.Essential Responsibilities:Assist in determining the IT needs of the company to support operations. Coordinating, planning, maintaining, and troubleshooting all IT- related activities so the company has the necessary infrastructure, and compute tools (software/applications) to operate efficiently.Direct liaison with EUS and service Desk teams to ensure constant two-way communication and continuous improvement reducing MTTR for user and system incidents.Recommends, plans, develops, and implements server configuration changes and/or upgrades to maintain appropriate levels of service to the user community.Analyzes, identifies, and resolves communication problems occurring between servers, workstations, PCs, the InternetTroubleshoot and administrate daily issues with Windows servers, domain controllers, Active Directory, VEEAM backup and recoveries, AZURE experience desiredAssist in managing the IT implementations and migrations for new business locations and acquisitions, as well as upgrades/improvements to existing infrastructurePerform hands-on fixes at the network level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups/restores, and configuring systems and applicationsMonitor and/or ensure the monitoring of servers, backup systems and network infrastructure to ensure proper system operation with minimal downtimeMonitor and/or ensure the network infrastructure is working efficiently using diagnostics and resolve hardware, software, or other network problemsPerform/ensure equipment and software maintenance as scheduledWork on impactful, prioritized projects to meet organizational needs/directivesCommunicate with outside vendors in support of various system platformsDocument flows, processes, procedures, resolutions and actions for knowledge sharing and Service Desk Staff enablement.Position Requirements:A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems (or equivalent experience)Operational configuration and support of Manufacturing HMIs and OT services and connectivity servicesA minimum of 10 years’ IT professional experience required.Strong customer service and mentoring attitude.Scripting and deployment automation expertise.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft-based solutions including Active Directory and O365A good working knowledge of and the ability to support Microsoft Server products, including Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure DNS/DHCP, and file/print servicesAn extensive knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems common to a business environment.Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting routers and switches. Knowledge of firewalls and VPNs a plusExtensive experience with the Microsoft Server operating system (2012 R2 and newer) in a physical and virtual environmentExperience with hosted/cloud-based systems based on MS AzureUnderstanding of TCP/IP and PowerShell, Internet browsers, and PC networking is strongly preferredKnowledge of AZURE active directory, storage, and compute resources highly desirableWorking knowledge of Dell EMC hardware and configurationsWorking knowledge of Windows Server, VMWare, wireless networks, and backup strategies/solutions.Ability to create and maintain diagrammatic representations of network configurations using VisioExperience leading and managing IT projects and supporting existing networks and infrastructureStrong critical thinking/problem solving skills required, as well as Project Management skills and the ability to prioritize with and without direct inputAbility to work independently, be resourceful, and communicate effectively in a decentralized environmentAbility/willingness to travel up to 30% is strongly desiredPay Rate:$75,240.00 - $112,860.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
