IT Support TechnicianPosition Summary:The IT Support Technician serves a critical role to Plug Power by working to triage IT help ticket items for employees and maintain optimal functionality of IT systems internally.  The IT Support Technician must approach the role with a customer service focus and a desire to support internal customers with IT needs.  This role regularly interfaces with employees and helps to maintain and improve the reputation for the IT department.  As such, technical knowledge, responsiveness, and interpersonal skills are each critical elements of success in this position.Core Duties and Responsibilities:Execute and respond to routine tasks through the IT Ticketing system:  general account administration (network, communication, VPN), device imaging, asset trackingReact and respond in a timely manner to break/fix issues:  Hardware, Software, connectivity, etc.Participate in authoring KBAs and regularly reviewing existing documentation for updates.Develop cross-functional partnerships with other departmental team members such as HR, Field Services, etc. to drive efficiencies in process/procedureDemonstrate initiative and follow-through with escalations and executive white glove serviceAbility to participate in a 24/7 on-call support in the event of system outages or scheduled downtime.At the direction of Global Help Desk Manager, participate in delegation of tasks to global teamProvide instructional tutorials to employees on the use of desktop equipment, and other relevant IT applicationsRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:High school diploma required; Associates degree in information technology, trade school certificate or relevant work experience preferred.A minimum of two (2) or more years of related work experience; internship/co-op experience may be considered in lieu of work experienceProficient with Office 365, Active Directory and VPN technologiesAbility to manage multiple tasks in a time-critical production environmentProven analytical and problem-solving abilities coupled with a strong attention to detailExperience working in a globally dispersed, team-oriented, collaborative environmentMust possess a customer service approach to workSuperior communication skillsExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedPay Rate:$22.12 - $31.68We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
