Process Improvement Technician Position Summary Process Improvement Technician will work with cross-functional teams to understand and help optimize productivity, quality, safety, and resolution of issues in relation to Manufacturing Operations. This role requires a challenging mix of hands-on work, solving problems, validation and driving solutions with cross-functional teams. The Process Improvement Technician requires skills and experience in creating process documentation that clearly and efficiently communicates concepts, ideas, and instructions and can effectively execute the training of those documents to all levels of the business. You will be on the front line between the process changes and full implementation. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesAid in Shop floor adoption and usage of Tulip; Assist with our “Virtual Factory” initiativeDevelopment and tracking of shop floor metricsDefect tracking, production data mining to better define problems and offer process improvements/suggestions based on findings6S projects and system for sustainable housekeepingAssist with root cause identification and drive issue resolution back through the process to minimize reworkWork with engineering on SOP updates/improvements and with trainers on implementation Support special projects for Operations as neededMaintain good professional communication with different departments/stakeholders to maintain alignment and achieve common goalsAbility to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlinesAbility to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around business demandPerform other related duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceTwo year technical degree is preferredHigh Mechanical and/or electrical aptitudeDriven and self-motivated individualWork experience in lean manufacturing and warehousing is strongly preferredHigh degree of organizational skills and time managementExcellent problem-solving skills with heavy focus on quality and attention to detailExemplary verbal and written communication skills, with a proficiency in English grammar, spelling and punctuation.Excellent listening and observation skills.Team player with a positive communication style and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphereAbility to stand for long periods of time in performance of job functionsRole model for high standards of professionalismPossibility of frequent lifting, bending and pullingMust be able to lift up-to 50 lbs. unassistedOperation of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacksPay Rate:$22.12 - $31.68We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
