Engineering Co-opStatus: Non-Exempt (hourly)                                                            Department: Manufacturing EngineeringLocation: Rochester Innovation CenterOur Manufacturing Engineering Department seeks an Engineering Co-op desiring Fall/Winter employment to perform some specific projects and to assist in general engineering activities in order to support the launch of Plug Power’s Giga Factory in Rochester, NY.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesProviding general manufacturing engineering duties in support manufacturing operationsSupport of manufacturing development projectsDevelop and document product and process quality methods; testing process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.Utilize engineering change process and all relevant communication/documentationPrepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.Performing other duties/ projects as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering ManagerEducation and ExperiencePursuing a mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering or related discipline requiredExperience with CAD technologyKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in tooling and gage designsMust be able to read blueprints and electric/pneumatic schematicsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareWork up to 40-hours per week preferredHours are between 7:00AM – 3:30PM, Monday thru FridayDynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex methodologies to diverse audiences and stakeholdersUncompromising dedication to product qualityDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailExcellent follow-throughMust be driven and self-motivatedPlug Power, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
