Status: Exempt (salaried) Department: New Product Introductions Position SummaryAs Data & Control lead you will focus on the implementation and management of (new) service products, such as remote monitoring and predictive maintenance, on top of Plug’s Electrolyser systems. This person will oversee the requirements gathering, design, development, release, and support of all service applications and data needs. Furthermore, this person will be the primary interface between the New Product Introductions (NPI) team, the corporate IT Team, (Service) Engineering teams and Plug customers.This role requires a thorough understanding of the needs of internal and external stakeholders and an understanding of Plug’s larger business objectives and customer needs to communicate product vision, draft product strategies, and turn these strategies into product roadmaps. In this role, you are accountable for ensuring a return on investment (ROI) on new service products and initiatives, as well as optimizing data platforms to ensure data consistency, high data quality, data security, and data availability for these new service products and initiatives.The ideal candidate for this role possesses a technical, commercial, and management background in a related field. This individual must be self-motivated, able to handle multiple competing priorities at once, and willing to adapt within a fast-paced organization.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesTransform ideas from conceptual, feasibility & pilot phases to scale-up & commercialized stages, followed by continuous improvement and optimization to support the growth of Plug Power’s Electrolyser products;Drive and prioritize new initiatives that enable scalable fleet management;Build a high-performing service data reporting and analytics team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment;Lead the service data reporting and analytics team, analyzing fleet data and generating reports for both customers and engineering;Lead all service product development, data management, and reporting activities within the team;Articulate commercial positioning of new service offerings and initiatives to both business and technical stakeholders within Plug;Build effective internal relationships with colleagues; work both inter-departmentally and cross-functionally;Maintain an understanding of high priority projects; be prepared to contribute as needed to priority projects;Manage these projects with a focus on delivering high-caliber results in a timely fashion;Be agile to shifting priorities in a fast-paced organization.Education and ExperienceMaster’s degree in engineering, information technology, or another related field;Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in a relevant field to this position;Minimum of three (3) years of proven leadership experience within a large, complex cross-functional environment;Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying actionable insights in data sets that support decision-making;Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, services, and capabilities (e.g., Azure);Knowledge of cybersecurity policies, management, and design;Experience with remote monitoring & diagnostics solutions is a bonus;Experience with the design and implementation of predictive maintenance models is a bonus;Strong communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills;Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively;Excellent follow-through;Must be driven and self-motivated;Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality.Plug Power, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
